Sehr schöner Miniaturgarten vor dem Badezimmer. Klimatisierung in jedem Raum. Die Wohnung macht einen sehr gepflegten Eindruck. Wir haben dort zwei schöne Wochen verbracht."

"Great host and communication. The house is cozy and it had everything we needed. The air conditioning was great in the Japanese heatwave. In just under 10 minutes, you can walk to some of the nicest streets in Kyoto with temples and cafes. However, everything around there closes quite early and becomes really quiet - so be aware if it’s not your vibe. Not a big deal for me, though. "We really enjoyed staying in a real house in a real neighborhood for our trip to Kyoto. There was plenty of room for our small family, and we felt we had a more authentic visit to this beautiful city. A couple things to note for those who read reviews is that the stairs to the bedrooms are very steep and narrow, and I worried for my husband navigating them in the dark at night. The bed in the second bedroom is on the floor, which isn't a bad thing considering this is an authentic experience,...

"Run down, moldy and extremely dusty Machiya! Do not stay here for your own health, we went straight to bed without checking the place as we checked in at 6pm and we were tired but we kept waking up choking and coughing, we looked arond and saw the black mold in the black room and the dust on all the beams. Hotels . Com should not be advertising this hotel and the pictures are YEARS out of date. If you stay here you will get ill, be aware."
