Clean rooms of decent size for Japan, located conveniently by the metro and easy to grab a a taxi via taxi app. The staff were both kind and cordial and responded to queries with good recommendations. Hyatt Place also had one of the best breakfasts I have had with a nice variety of options.

Hotel is modern and located right at a subway stop (4 stops or 7 minutes to Kyoto train Station). Walking distance to Imperial Palace and the gardens. Quick taxi or subway rides to other sites. We had a courtyard facing room which was very quiet. There are blackout drapes so the room stays dark in the morning. Room is modern with a nice shower and fairly comfortable beds. They provide umbrellas in the lobby that can be borrowed for rain days.
