The hostel has some downsides worth mentioning. One major issue is that the room allows shoes inside, which made the space feel less clean. There was also a musty, unpleasant odor likely due to poor ventilation. The room was quite noisy at night — the person in the bunk above me was frequently rummaging through her luggage, which disrupted my sleep. While I understand that guest behavior is beyond the property’s control, it still affected my experience.
This place was not clean. Beds were dirty, bathrooms were dirty, reception was filled with junk, old food in the fridge, they have a garbage dump outside where the washing machine is. False advertisement to say the least. It says they have laundry facilities but it’s just a dirty washing machine. They say theirs a rooftop but don’t mention that you have to buy a drink to be able to access it. And the “drinks” they sell are either canned pop for ¥500 or they make you a coffee/ cocktail in their dirty reception area. Photos show they have a projector to watch movies in the common room but it’s no longer there. I requested a top bunk when booking but they put me on the bottom, when I asked to change they refused even though the whole room was empty most of my stay. Bed area was so dirty I had to request it be cleaned. And people wear their shoes in the room so the floors are filthy. Overall just not a good hostel.
