Paradise!

Casa Alegre is the best place in Casa de Campo!!! The house is HOME! The food is amazing, the staff is perfect and the house is so comfortable and beautiful with great suites and the best pool! I recommend Casa Alegre to anyone that enjoys the good things in life.

Amazing experience in Casa de Campo!

Really pleasant experience in this villa! The property owner, the property manager Johannes, the staff at the house, everyone really went out of their way to make us feel at home. The chef at the house is a real chef, she did some of the most delicious meals we had in our trip. Johannes, the manager, met with us in person, help us with restaurant reservations, yacht rental, horseback riding, golf cart rental, he is a real luxury VIP service. Casa de Campo itself exceeded our expectations, the Minitas beach is fantastic, beautiful sand, clear water, great beach and restaurant service, lots of activities for the kids. The marina village has great shops, and five star restaurants. The Altos de Chavon area is like entering a magical town that takes you back to Spanish colonial times...except with new and delicious restaurants. Highly recommend this villa, and a vacation in Casa de Campo.

Casa Alegre - Exceeded Our Expectations

Our group of 9 spent 5 nights in this beautiful villa and were treated like we were family. The accommodations are luxurious, the villa air conditioned, the pool well maintained and the staff professional and welcoming! While we were expecting to enter a villa that is first class, our expectations were exceeded. The bedrooms were spacious, the common area has many seating areas to relax, read and converse and the yard is spectacular. Casa de Campo is 7,000 acres of golf, horseback riding, shooting, bike riding, fishing, sunbathing and more. Los Lagos #57 (Casa Alegre) is perfectly situated to be a short golf cart ride to most any activity. Playa Minitas, the local beach, is less than 3 minutes away and the Marina, Hotel, and other activities are no more than 10 minutes by golf cart. We took the opportunity to play golf at the Teeth of the Dog course the day before the Sugar Tournament began and the course was in great shape. Maritze, the chef of the house, is an amazing cook. Her use of herbs and spices provides for delicately flavored dishes and we were treated to everything from beef, chicken and fish for our main dishes to flan, cheesecake and bunuelos for dessert; all accompanied by salads and local fruit. Anna, the head of the staff, took care of our every need and helped arrange for taxis or picnic lunches to take on a sailing excursion. She made sure our meals were prepared to eat at the time we requested and was even able to accommodate my wife's gluten-free diet! Mr. Gordon made sure our transactions went smoothly from beginning to end and checked in on us daily with his staff to make sure our needs were being taken care of. We felt that we were always in good hands. This was our group's first trip to the Dominican Republic, but after staying at Casa Alegre, we look forward to another opportunity to come down and stay here again. If you are planning a trip to Casa de Campo and are looking for a villa, I would recommend you contact Mr. Bob Gordon and secure the Casa Alegre for your stay. I couldn't recommend this villa and staff highly enough for a stay in Casa de Campo, DR. We would definitely return to Casa Alegre for anther stay.

Casa Alegre...a perfect vacation family retreat !

Casa Alegre, properly called, is a rental Villa that provides a perfect vacation retreat in world well known Casa de Campo Resort. Together with family, including children, we stayed there during a Holiday long weekend at the beginning of May. Perfectly located at prestigious “Los Lagos” section, tucked in a beautiful “Cul de Sac”, very close to Minitas Beach, the Marina and Altos de Chavon with all its attractions as well as the Hotel itself… nothing is missed there. Accommodations are as nice as it can get with its 5 Bedrooms which include 2 bedrooms, the Casita and the Gazebo (located in the Cottage-annex to the main Villa) as perfect locations for guests, all other bedrooms located in-house. The Villa areas, terrace with its pool and independent Jacuzzi… are among the facilities that we enjoyed. Dining room, round table-great for conversations, seats 10 overlooking the patio and Jacuzzi area is perfect to be pampered by a very friendly and professional staff which we were very pleased that is all-included in the Short Term Rental Agreement. Pool and terraces are always bathed by the nearby Caribbean Sea breezes. We had an excellent experience beautiful Catalina and Saona islands and its gorgeous crystal clear beaches… an experience not to be missed while enjoying your Casa Alegre, Dominican Republic –Caribbean dream vacation. A very important “plus” there; we do highly recommend to taste and enjoy the Dominican recipes from the excellent lady Chef of Casa Alegre…it is much better than all those very chic-famous restaurants (Le Cirque, etc) around the Resort. Before going there I recommend inquiring all the sports available at the Resort and properly schedule them. There are numerous sports for every taste; several of the best World Golf Courses, tennis, horseback riding, polo, sailing, biking and a world known shooting range. We were able to enjoy a Polo game and our boat trip from the Marina to Saona island and beaches. Don’t miss a trip to historic and wonderful Santo Domingo with its Colonial Area, a sector of interest and “many first places of the New World”. We do highly recommend vacationing CASA ALEGRE style at DR!

Great stay at Casa Alegre!

Tuvimos una gran estadía en Casa Alegre! Lo mejor es la atención y y la calidez del personal de la casa... Si vas con niños pequeños son maravillosos con ellos! La comida estuvo deliciosa!! La casa está bastante cerca de la playa para ir en carrito, más o menos para ir caminando. Dos de las habitaciones son afuera de la casa lo que brinda un poco más de privacidad e independencia! La casa no es moderna pero está muy bien equipada con A.C (un poco ruidosos) en todos lo ambientes. Tanto la pileta como el parque están excelentemente mantenidos. Todo estuvo muy bien!

Spent four glorious nights in "Casa Alegre". Meticulously kept villa with gorgeous landscaping. Everything was perfect. Wonderful full time staff always ready to serve you with a great smile. Welcoming and charismatic owners, professional and caring staff, delicious food, clean zesty home, beautiful golf looking landscaping and a spectacular pool! Fantastic Vacation Stay

What a great house and a staff that is incredible. We spent the new year at Casa Alegre and it was fantastic. We arrived coming from Punta Cana at an all inclusive and next time we will just stay at the house for the whole trip. It is an all inclusive with the privacy of a house.

Best place to stay in Casa de Campo!

I have stayed at this house several times over the last 20 years. It is by far the best house, best location and best staff you could ever have. From the moment you approach the house you get a feeling of excitement as you finally see the house at the end of a quiet street. The grounds of the house are absolutely immaculate and I have noticed that the house sits on a very large lot, larger than any lot on the street. It's very peaceful to see all the green areas while you're sitting out by the pool. The staff: the staff are AMAZING! They are so nice and truly feel like family. Anything you could possibly desire is available. The food: BEST FOOD IN CASA DE CAMPO! I have been to many restarants in Casa De Campo in the resort and at the marina and I can honestly say... The food at Los Lagos 57 is outstanding and my personal favorite. For breakfast I like to have scrambled eggs, jamon frito (bacon), fresh bread and croissants, pancakes, crepes, omeletes... Really the chef Maritza can make you whatever you want! I go all out at breakfast and then we walk to the beach and bask in the sun through the late afternoon, it's the BEST! Lunch is the best when you're coming home from the beach and feeling hungry. The chef can prepare whatever you would like... Chicken, gazpacho, chicarron de pollo, rice, beans, salad. I highly recommend the French fries as they are freshly made! If you want to have a special dinner by the pool they can set a table outside and it's really refreshing to dine under the starts al fresco. The pool is amazing, some days I don't want to go to the beach and i layout by the pool and have an ice cold Presidente in these cool frozen mugs that they have! This place is great as there is Wifi which for me is important so I can keep in touch with my job if I want to check in. The rooms: the rooms are amazing, I have stayed in every room. In the main house there are 3 rooms with ensuite bathrooms which I love as everyone has their own suite. There are also 2 rooms with ensuite bath located in a cabana/guesthouse right next to the house on the same property. There is a grocery store at the marina which has a nice wine selection upstairs that has good prices. The wine store in the actual marina is pricey. Honestly, as you can see Los Lagos 57 is my home away from home. This is a place you can go to truly relax and unwind. I have had very peaceful and memorable vacations here over the many years I have been coming here.
