「Greeted upon arrival and given tour and history of property. Short time later provided cheese tray and choice of wine on screened in porch with the other guests, followed by fresh baked cookies. Very enjoyable. Short walk to the downtown area for all the dining and shopping areas, great location. Room was very clean and in good condition. Slept very well on the bed. We will stay here again on another Galena visit. 」

「As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. 「Chris and Resa run a wonderful B&B! The house itself is beautiful, and if you like seeing original architectural details of historic buildings, this is the place for you. Breakfast was delicious, and it was hard to pick what our favorite meal was. After a day of shopping on Main Street, it was nice to come back to the house for a charcuterie plate and cookies (both different every day!) and wine. My favorite touch was a homemade brownie waiting for us when we checked into our room - delicious!」
