“A beautiful gem of a hotel situated on Mt. Varese, quiet and with an impeccable view of the surroundings. A great destination for a little getaway. The building itself is old, but charming and well-kept. Our room extended across two floors, with the bedroom on the bottom and the bathroom (with a shower cell, toilet and bidet) upstairs. “We loved staying in this hotel with its unique history and beautiful decor. It is a special place in a wonderful location and we had fabulous views from our balcony. The walk to Morcote took under 30 minutes with lovely views but you need to wear trainers as the path is uneven. We also enjoyed walking to the castle through the vineyards and exploring lake Lugano by bus and boat. We tended to get Uber taxi’s back up to to hotel as it was a steep climb ( cost 18CHF) ”

“Väldigt bra hotell. Rent, välskött, renoverat men man har behållit den äldre stilen vilket uppskattas. Frukosten var bra för att vara italiensk standard (inga varma rätter) men standarden på det som fanns var väldigt hög och priset var bra för det som ingick. Blev uppgraderade till ett större rum gratis när vi anlände vilket var väldigt trevligt. AC fanns även på rummet vilket var skönt under sommaren.”
