Fantastic pools and we really liked the spa and gym for working out. Upon checking out, we were told the resort is closing on Oct 19 for upgrades and updating which will add to the experience - while we loved the resort, parts are a little dated so the upgrades will enhance the experience/value.

Loved the pool at the resort and the close proximity to the ponta da Piedade walkway. We walked to Lagos on the beautiful walkway and to the beaches Praia de Dona Ana and stairs to a grotto. Stunning cliff views from the walkway. Staff were so lovely they saw it was my birthday and surprised me with a cake and bubbly wine, I was so touched. Great birthday visit 😊

The best things about this property is the location and the staff are excellent…however the property is old run down and not maintained. I would not classify this as a 5 star hotel in its current condition 3.5 at best. Very outdated. We had 4 rooms. One room had broken window shade. One room with broken AC. Took the whole day to address. Ended up moving to two new rooms. Stains on carpet and furniture. Definitely not a 5 star. Rooms are 3 star at most. Overall with breakfast, other amenities, maybe 4 star. The location to boardwalk was nice.
