“This was a family holiday- Mum, Dad and two teenage daughters- 16 and 19. We were there for 12 nights. The hotel is in an excellent position, by the lakeside. You can walk across and swim from the hotel in under 5 minutes, which is ideal. Breakfast was a good selection buffet and the pool bar did a good range of sandwiches/salads for lunch. Happy hour was 2 for 1 on "spritz's" We didn't do the lunch or dinner but both looked a bit heavier and fussier than we wanted. The staff everywhere were……

“Great place with a beautiful location by the lake, and amazing gardens. We had wonderful days at Splendido. We would come back. But to honor the name, furniture in the rooms needs to be updated and better maintained, and staff at the restaurants should be better trained and have more experience (though Ariana was very nice and attentive). Staff at reception were kind and helpful). Overall, a good choice if you want to spend a few days in the beautiful Lago di Garda.”

From the wonderfully manicured grounds to the superb classical design of the interiors to the little touches in the room everything was high quality. You can tell that all the guests were of a certain society class too. I will be back. It was a superb stay and so very memorable. Well done to the lovely gentleman at the outdoor restaurant who gave us sweet biscuits after the kitchen closed as we wanted desserts and it wasn't……
