Lake placid house

pulling up to the house i thought we made a mistake the outside and inside need a lot of TLC the inside was as clean and it can get the back porch was cluttered with water equipment that you couldn't use the master bedroom carpet you could tell that pets have been there and the bathroom was a step back to the 60's pink tub that didn't work and pink sink and a bidet. couch in the back room needs to be replaced you sank into it there was no netflix streaming. The best thing the house has going for it is the location.

Great lakeside vacation home!

We loved the Old Florida charm of this lake home! It has so much to offer. We were only in town two days for a wedding. It was very spacious and perfect for our needs for that. Beautiful kitchen. Fun, spacious family room. Very comfortable. Very clean. Loved sitting on the screened porch in the morning and enjoying our coffee as we watched the sunrise across the lake. We’d love to go back when we have more time. As we’re from South Florida, we will definitely book this home again.

Little Hidden Gem

Initially, we almost considered turning back when we caught sight of the house's exterior. However, upon stepping inside, we were immensely grateful for the impeccable cleanliness of the house. It was truly spotless and even had a delightful fragrance. The cleaning crew was still present at 4 pm during our check-in and didn't leave until around 4:45 pm. Although the master bedroom bathroom had a vintage touch from the 1970s, it was remarkably clean and reminded me of my visits to my grandparents' house in New York, complete with the pink tub. I have never encountered such a pristine refrigerator before. It appeared as though it had never been used. Additionally, there were an abundance of towels available in the house, which was perfect after spending the entire day at the lake. The view of the lake was absolutely breathtaking. They provided boards, a kayak, and a single paddle, ensuring we had a fantastic time on the water. The back area of the house, with its spacious couch and television, was undoubtedly the highlight. It was the perfect spot to relax, play football games, and even enjoy a game of darts. They even had an indoor barbecue area, although unfortunately, we didn't have the opportunity to utilize it. Apart from some unfavorable experiences with Vacasca, which is unrelated to the homeowner who rents out this house, everything else was commendable. The homeowner pays great attention to detail, leaving hotel soaps, shampoos, and coffee for us. They even provided both a Keurig and a regular coffee pot. Waking up and savoring a cup of coffee on the deck was an incredible experience. The glistening lake added to the overall beauty. Overall, we would definitely consider booking this place again, if not for the negative encounter with Vacasca. It's a shame because we truly fell in love with this place, and we are frequent travelers, venturing out once a month!

The floors were so dirty, I had to use washcloths on my feet to walk from bathroom to bedroom to keep them clean. The light switch’s were dirty. The master bed tub/shower did not work at all. 4 people had to use the small bath. Rugs in kitchen and baths were not clean looking. No outside lighting, the bulbs had been removed. We were told not to touch thermostat so it was warm in the house…ceiling fans did not bring down temps. Absolutely NO hand soap. Lake was nice. Dock was unsafe with boards coming up. We were told we had to strip beds before leaving and one of the pillows was just covered with yellow drool stains. I almost died to think I had slept on it. Brown cordoroy coach was not comfortable and the brown chairs were so unsafe that my husband could not use. Supposed to be non smoking but found butts outside the back screen door. Took pictures to back everything up. I was so disappointed since felt the price was high but on the lake for watching the wildlife. No contact with owner while we were there.

Peaceful & Serene hideaway!

This home was exactly what we were looking for. Had an event in a remote area and this little hideaway was the perfect alternative to a hotel. Not far from the town, in a quiet and serene neighborhood. Breathtaking views of the lake while nature provided the background noise.
