Gone Fishing 2, Close to Coast Cottage

Gone Fishing 2 is brand new, completely renovated and gorgeous! This 2 bd/1ba, 1950's Officer Barracks is the perfect vacation getaway! A heavenly screened porch, outdoor shower, fenced yard w/gas fire pit and BBQ grill. Super close to fishing, beaching, boating, awesome seafood restaurants, and shopping. 3 mil to St. James Bay Golf Resort, 4 mil to Carrabelle, 8 mil to Carrabelle public beach. 31 miles to St. George Island, 34 mil to historic Apalachicola! Pet friendly for one small dog with Pre-Approval Only and $75 pet fee. Please do not book expecting to bring your dog without getting approval first.

Everything is New and Fabulous, a large screened in porch to relax out of the sun and a large side patio to relax in the sun. 4 new memory foam mattresses, 100% cotton linens, all new appliances, a fishing cleaning station and space to back a boat into to hose it down and rinse out the engine. A large fenced yard for family and a small dog. Pet friendly, your dog must be approved by owner in advance, if approved there is a $75 pet fee, no cats allowed.

Cute Cottage

We loved our stay here! Pictures and descriptions are accurate. The cottage was clean, comfortable and cozy. The enclosed patio was a favorite spot for morning coffee and sun downers. Convenient location - 5 minutes to piers on 98 for fishing, 10 minutes to Carrabelle and 40 +/- minutes to Apalachicola & St. George Island. We've booked many places through VRBO & Airbnb. Marlinda's place ranks as one of our favorites. We'll definitely be back.

Great get away vacation

1st. Our host Marlinda was great. She helped and answered our questions promptly. The home was spectacular. Well stocked with everything anyone would need. The house was beautifully decorated and very clean. The beds slept great. We go to fla twice a year and this has been the best we have stayed at. We will be returning when we come back to this area.

Exactly what we expected

Everything was as expected, it was very nice that she had little things like paper towels, towels, shampoo/ body wash, coffee for us to make, spices for cooking, a barbecue grill and a out door fire place that we used for a 1/2 hour. We would definitely stay there again.

The perfect getaway, no crowds, no traffic

Gone Fishing 2 rental in Lanark Village was a nice ,clean, 2 bed, 1bath, fully furnished with everything you need or want to live like you you are at home. All you have to bring are clothes,food and drinks and you are home. A nice clean, quiet and friendly little community. We stayed 2.5 weeks. Next trip will most likely be longer. We enjoyed our stay here more than we can explain, best trip to Florida ever. Just a few minutes drive to several beautiful beaches, and the fresh seafood in the area is fantastic.

This place was very clean ,very beautiful, very quiet. Has everything you close to 2 beaches.

Worth the money & drive to stay here.the only thing I would say is the couch is very uncomfortable.We went & laid in bed to watch TV was more comfortable. Everything was wonderful. Will stay here again for sure.

Great Stay!

This little cottage was a wonderful place to stay for our family for a quick, last minute vacation getaway. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and beautifully decorated. Loved the outdoor shower for washing off sand from nearby Carrabelle Beach. We loved sitting on the screened porch in the evenings after dinner. Marlinda is a great host, very communicative and gracious, and she gave us some great tips on where to go and eat in the area. We enjoyed our short stay very much and hope to visit again soon!
