The property is listed as “newly renovated” but the renovations were completed by a DIY person…at least I hope for the owner's sake. The shower head could not rinse the soap off, the floors had holes and made noises, and the outlet above the bed was so loose you could not plug something into it because there wasn’t anything to stop the outlet. The man at the front desk was nice. The motel sits on the main road and it is truck heavy at times which made it a bit noisy. In the end, it was sufficient enough to get a nights sleep away from home.

We were in town from Wisconsin for a funeral. There was nowhere to hang clothes!!!! The bathroom is tiny, not enough room for one person, let alone two. There was no table or any room whatsoever to put your luggage and personal belongings. We dragged in two patio chairs from the "courtyard" to put our stuff on and made a makeshift nightstand for one side of the bed *mine" that had nothing and no outlets to charge my devices or set my water or eyeglasses on. I asked for an iron to touch up clothes for funeral, a usual standard at even a Motel 6 and was told no. Is this what you should expect these days for $110?? Very disappointed and would not recommend!

The room was ok, but it was hard to figure out the lighting. When you thought you were turning on one light with a switch, it turned on another one. Each light switch was different than what was expected.

Great place to stay for a night. Bed was uncomfortable but very clean. Nice walk-in shower. Would stay again. Owner was pleasant to deal with. Close to shopping and restaurants.

Horrible not best condition at all The bed is held up with 2x4 wood legs both beds , pictures included. Mattress was hard on one and other I sunk in middle. Extremely loud constant travel. Tractor trailers all night. No sleep.

Property is small but clean. It’s worth the price. Staff is very nice and friendly. I have a little issue with the room and he’s very nice to move us to another room which is more bigger and better than the one we had. We will come back again for sure.

Room good/check in unique

Room was good for just one night stay, clean and comfortable. Check in little unusual had to call phone number for someone to come to desk. Booked two rooms and had to register and pay separately for each room wouldn’t allow pay for both at one time.

We had read previous reviews and expected a nicer place. Oi. No one was there to greet us at all. When they showed up they told us that check out was at 10 am. The board on the wall said 11. I asked if he was sure. He read the board and says, "ojay, fine. It's 11" I've never seen a smaller room. The bathroom door didn't open all the way, there wasn't room. 2 small full size beds took up all the room. Tiny bathroom with something running down the side of the vanity. I don't want to know what that was. We won't be returning

Watch Out For Surprise Charges!

I have booked at The Lancaster Motel twice, only stayed once. My stay in October 2024 was good. Clean and comfortable room, friendly and helpful front desk service. No real issues at all. My last booking (I did NOT stay) was in January 2025. I booked the room via hotels.com based on my previous visit and chose pay on-site. When I arrived to check in, I was informed that there was a $100 security deposit due before I could check in. And that only Cash would be accepted for the deposit. When I questioned it, as I was not charged that in October, I was told it was a new policy. Fine. But there was no mention anywhere on their listing of this requirement. The desk person would not provide contact info for the management so I could ask them about it. I decided not to stay and was told when leaving that my card would not be charged since I declined the room. But I was charged. I emailed hotels.com who contacted the motel twice and was told both times that despite the circumstances the motel “declined to provide a refund.” I will NEVER stay at this motel again. And would recommend anyone considering it call before booking to get the full story. Or select the “reservation protection” option with hotels.com or a refundable booking option. I will say that when I called and spoke to a representative at hotels.com they recognized the situation for what it was and provided a refund for the booking themselves. Which I appreciated very much.

Went to check in after booking room through Expedia, hand them my credit card and drivers license, they said I need a $100 security deposit, I said that’s fine you can put on my card. Well they proceeded to say I needed a $100 cash security deposit, I told them I didn’t have that much cash on me, they said go next door to the gas station to get it out of the atm, I said no and to cancel my room through them & Expedia. There is a charge on my credit card statement that I used to reserve my room, and it is next to impossible to talk to a live person at Expedia. The whole deal seemed extremely shady to me, and I am extremely frustrated with Expedia which I used all the time for work travel up to this point.
