This was not a nice staying experience. The room we booked was King Bed Room. However when I checked in, it shows that it was a double Queen bed, and I need to add extra $22 to upgrade to a king bed room. So I told the employee that it was the wrong room instead of what we booked. They just nodded coldly and gave me a new room. When I get to the king bed room, it was old and dirty and the shower room was so so bad. It doesn’t even have a door, just a curtain. It was so tiny and when you turn on the water, the whole bathroom got wet. It doesn’t look like anything from the photos they posted on the website. It was even worse than a Quality In room honestly. They said they would sent someone up the check the condition and no one did. So I had to go down again and told them about the situation. And the ambassador just said “oh we don’t have more king bed room for you, the one I have is a double Queen bed room” which is the original one they wanted to gave us. Well at least this one’s shower has a door…. I wonder, if they don’t have any more king bed room, then why would they give me the option to upgrade with extra $22? When I told them I already booked one, they just gave me the worst one so they can make me switch to the initial Queen bed room. This is fraud. I would never stay there again, and I suggest anyone else just pay a little extra to stay in a nice modern hotel. It will make the whole experience way better. Horseshoe is Very very bad.

Do yourself a favor and don’t stay here. Requested twice for housekeeping, never came. We stayed there for 3 nights and our room was never cleaned the entire stay. On 4/29/24 around 9:00 am, we went to the front desk to do late check-out which we were willing to pay. Lena was extremely rude and does not acknowledge questions and continue to type and look at the computer. When she does acknowledge you, she gives a snarky reply. She is definitely in need of customer service training or work for DMV. We just had to walk away so we didn’t have to deal with her. It seems like she gets away with behavior like this and never gets reprimanded. There’s a reason this hotel is cheaper. It’s not worth it.

Room was ok. Compliments include. - nice tv. - comfortable bed - good outlet and usb placement Opportunities for improvement include - Lighting. Entry light switch only controls hallway light. I had to turn on my cell phone flashlight to make my way to a table lamp. Light placement could be improved by locating a light in the room close to the entry hallway. Ideally, this newly placed lamp could be turned on using the entry switch. - Bathroom toilet is low. Difficult for seniors to get on and off of. - Bathroom towel racks. Only towel rack is on the shower door. It would have been nice to have a 2nd towel rack somewhere. - Bathroom light switch for area over sink is not convenient. - No soap dish for the bar soap. - bar soap sticks to the shelf in the shower once it dries. It was difficult to pry it off to use. - No Kleenex provided for Bedroom area.
