The Reivers Lodge offers two bedrooms with an open plan kitchen/living space and private hot tub surrounded by woodland for the ultimate countryside retreat. The open plan kitchen, dining, and living space has a beautiful vaulted pine ceiling and large French doors that open onto an elevated decked terrace. Guests can fully immerse themselves in nature and enjoy the magnificent views through the woodland, over the river Leader and towards Thirlestane Castle where the turrets can be seen rising above the treetops across the valley. Complete with all the cooking facilities you could require, a large dining table, cosy living space and electric stove; this is the heart of the Reivers Lodge and the perfect space for relaxing brunches or long evenings of delicious dining and boardgames. The master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and en suite shower room, while the second bedroom has twin beds and is adjacent to the family bathroom. Decorated and furnished tastefully, with textiles inspired by the Scottish countryside, each room is finished to the highest standard. There is a handy utility/boot room, hanging space for outdoor gear and a washer/dryer. There is also a payable electric vehicle charging point.. Thirlestane Woodland Lodges is part of our Wanderwood Lodge Holidays Collection, set within the beautiful Lauderdale Estate in the South of Scotland. Several local attractions have children’s programmes and events to ensure guests of all ages are entertained during their stay. Guests can make use of their complimentary grounds pass which allows them access to several trails around the estate. One particular trail will lead you directly to Thirlestane Castle which is open for daily guided tours through the summer, and private castle tours can be organised year-round.

For those who prefer water sports, you can head to St Mary’s Loch which is perfect for wild swimming and paddle boards.
