We ate breakfast everyday and had several dinners and ate a variety of starters and entrees. All very delicious! There was a stream behind the lodge with lots of fish to either watch or catch and several cool trails with amazing sites. If visiting the Spearfish, Deadwood, etc area, then I highly recommend a stay.」

「This hotel is amazing. I love the old building mixed in with new amenities. You do have to park about 3 blocks away in a ramp, but, for the location it was worth it. Casino and Gift Shop located very close to the front desk. The one thing I wish was explained better was if the products in the fridges near the front desk were for guests to take....like coffees, waters, etc... being there isn't a breakfast/restaurant on property we thought maybe there were for the taking but weren't sure. ...

「On arrival parking was atrocious, directed to another lot, while it was hailing. Front desk clerk was not helpful at all, had a bit of an attitude and did not assist with assigning a proper room. The hotel appears newish. Half the rooms are on the busy highway, and windows do not block sound. My friend stayed in room on the old Main Street, and was woken by horses walking by at 530. In other words, do not expect a quiet room. The shower was lacking, it looked fancy but was not very good with...

「It took a while for someone to come up to front desk to check-in and there was not a bell to ring. Also, it seemed most of the stairwells down went right into the casino which is not ideal with a child, so we had to walk back up and take elevator.」

「The staff made out great. We did not walk by one that did not offer help or ask how our stay was going. The stream behind the hotel very soothing, I could have watched it all day. Scenery was beautiful. There was some construction, you could see how the hotel was improving. I do wish they would have more food 」
