As we didn’t book direct with the hotel we weren’t allowed to use the pool. We were told we had to pay £12 per day to use the car park despite the website saying it is £10 per night. We asked for some food for the room, this was delivered in a paper bag, even though we’d seen in the corridor trays left out with plates, knives and forks, and sauces. We received “take away” type containers with wooden knives and forks, no sauces. Due to my food intolerances I was very specific about my order, my request was ignored and I couldn’t eat the food. It was very disappointing. Aside from this I would like to say the reception staff and the breakfast staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

From friendly reception staff to the bar and breakfast staff it was a great stay overall. Large hotel rooms with sofa bed, tea and coffee facilities with the bonus of water coolers and fresh milk on every floor for your stay really nice touch. Breakfast was as good with a full buffet selection and a few special items to order a la carte style. Beautiful hotel would recommend and stay again when in the area. Thank you all.

I had booked a family room with a king sized bed and sofa bed. When I arrived they gave me a double bed and a sofa with no bed. I called reception and they said they’d make up the bed. I said no problem as we were out for the day. We came back after midnight and the room was the same. I called reception again and they explained that the family room wasn’t given to me and they didn’t recommend a pull out sofa bed for anyone over 13. I explained I’d already spoken to reception earlier in the day. Anyway, they came up and took us to the family room I’d booked on a different floor. They also said they would give me a 25% discount, which I haven’t received. It’s a shame it wasn’t sorted earlier in the day and not after midnight

An enjoyable one night stay at a hotel where the positive features far outweigh any minor niggles. Attentive and pleasant staff, excellent food, well presented and served in a timely manner. Rooms just bordering on the need for some love and attention, although White Stuff toiletries do a good job in diverting attention from the nasty stain on one of the seats. Decent enough spa facilities, although it would be helpful if the price to swim were included in the booking price.
