We liked the high ceiling in the bedroom and the wall of windows. While I looked out, a coyote emerged from the wooded area and walked away on the railroad tracks. I have never seen a coyote outside of a zoo. It wasn’t until we walked into our room at a typical American hotel this afternoon that we realized how much we like a spacious room, with……

“The Gillen House is a perfect destination if you are looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway that is close to Athens and not too far away from Atlanta. The hosts, Edward and Cynzia, were very welcoming and made us feel at home. The food at breakfast was excellent. Especially the steaks and sides that we had for dinner on our arrival evening. The room was spotless and perfect. We definitely enjoyed our stay!”

“Originally, upon arrival, the bed sheets had a stain. The staff were able to change it for me, though. The pool was not cleaned (stayed in late April). Rooms smelled nice, but like the bed sheets, the shower curtain was worn. Overall, clean and budget friendly. Good staff. Good TV, Good Refrigerator. Acceptable WiFi. I would stay here again if I needed a place to stay in Greensboro.”

“The staff at the reception were courteous and helpful. I used the stationary bicycle in the gym. Didn't have time to use the indoor pool but it looked clean. I didn't like the smell of the room. It took a bit of work to program TV so I could watch. Convenient location. Reasonable price.”
