The property was Ok but the bedrooms let it down.
Neither bedroom had any storage space, just a hanging rail on which to hang trousers and shirts. No drawer space whatsoever, which means living out of a suitcase for a week. The ground floor bedroom was very small which means the suitcases were on the floor and presented a trip hazard. The shower was good but the washroom and the toilets were very small. The kitchen had all you could require and very modern. Just one sofa for 4 people was too small. The garden had not been maintained for weeks so the grass was a foot high which made outdoor fun and games almost impossible. The area around the cottage was a construction site which meant driving around construction materials to access the gites a hazard. It was lovely and quiet and with the boulangerie only walking distance, so it was an ideal location. New decor throughout was very pleasant. We left a day early (stayed in a hotel) because the shortcomings of the gite were beginning to grate. I will book something larger next time.
