「As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. 「The location is off the beaten path and the hotel is an older hotel...however it has recently been updated so it was very clean with new beds, fresh paint and upgraded bathrooms. We upgraded to the biophoton room, Had a great sleep and felt very rested when we left. I would definitely stay here again. Only 13 miles from Galena and great shopping in Dubuque.
