“The hotel's promotional photos greatly lowered the hotel's grade, because I think the actual environment of the hotel is much better than in the photos, completely beyond my imagination, the room is very clean and tidy and the scenery is extremely beautiful, the only drawback is that there is no ham sausage for breakfast”

“We loved everything about our stay here. The breakfasts were the perfect start to the day and generally consisted of a small frittata or 2-egg dish served in a Pyrex ramekin, with a side of freshly baked muffins or cinnamon rolls, and whatever drinks you pre-selected at check-in (coffees and orange juice for us). It's delivered in a basket outside your room each morning at either 8am or 9am (depending on what time you request the day before). There was a small kitchenette (not in the room itself……

“We stayed in Room 14 which is a cute little cottage. Overall we loved our stay. Some things that stood out were the amazing staff. All so kind and patient. We especially enjoyed booking a room with a hot tub, maybe next time we’ll do a room with the sauna!”

“Staff so welcoming friendly and full of knowledge I. Regards to the area. Hiking trails, wineries, massage and dining. We visit each year and it never gets old. The rooms are so comfy, lean and cozy with fireplaces. Leave the window open to hear the o ran waves at night! The breakfast is top notch, all fresh made and local. Highly recommend the experience.”

“This place was beautiful! It was very private, which is exactly what we were looking for. I loved the view and of course the private hot tub. The beds were comfortable.”

“The beds are old and hard. Our backs are killing us this morning. The bedding is not comfortable especially the blankets comforter and pillows. The views are dramatic with sounds of waves breaking. The staff is fantastic. The bar and bartender fabulous. The dining room nice. For breakfast the only eggs available are poached which were perfectly prepared. Dinner was delicious with the exception of the Vietnamese salad. Poorly cut cabbage Plate presentation not at all……

“Oh this place is beautiful. The main Lodge is a gorgeous building, full of fascinating books and accessories for sale. (Not to mention the sweetest cats). Stanford has the only indoor pool and hot tub for 100 miles. The restaurant was hot garbage, but Mendocino is chock full of wonderful places to eat.”

“I lost my license while I was visiting in the area and the front desk staff was willing to watch on local social media for it, even took my number down and was very helpful I was impressed with the breakfast because it was real food The hotel is somewhat outdated, but I would say it fits the town era and fit our deeds perfectly. There was also a walking trail right across from the hotel, which was very nice.”
