“We had an amazing stay at this beautiful château in the countryside of the Loire Valley. The host was welcoming & friendly and very informative, helping us with suggestions of restaurants and sites to see as well as some history on her home which has been in her family for 18 generations. Having come from busy, crowded and loud Paris (which we loved as well), Château de la Giraudière was exactly what we needed next; quiet, fresh air and a small village environment. Our host and owner of this……

“Excellent property. It is close to everything. I selected it because of the proximity to the old city and the train station. It exeeded my expectations. We were greeted in person, the communication was perfect. Nothing more to wish for.”

“Quaint B and B. Lovely host. Very welcoming. Place full of old art and curiosity, statues and old mirrors. It is a special place. The small garden is very pretty. Only stayed one night. The village is very beautiful. Unfortunately we had no time for the many chateau.”

“The check-in process; it requires you to access to the internet (WiFi) or strong mobile phone signals in order to activate the digital keys (to open the gate & your room). My phone has very weak signals and unable to open the link to the hotel website for directions/instructions to the digital keys .... To make the matter worse; the hotel only sends you the above inf. at 16:00 on the date of your arrival and no sooner; in my case, by the luck of the draw, they forgot to send it to me on time. ……

“From the warm welcome by the hostess Caroline to the “Avoir” four days later all was so lovely. Our room was recently renovated, comfortable and so clean. Beautiful gardens - quiet and private. The breakfasts each morning were delicious and Caroline always made sure we were comfortable and informative of the area’s attractions. The location is ideal for dining and strolling through the shops, and the must see Château d’Amboise. We loved our time at Clos de Chateau and highly recommend it for……
