“Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but……

“Das Haus ist sehr geschmackvoll und auch sinnvoll eingerichtet - die Küche ist gut und neuwertig ausgestattet und es gibt genügend Geschirr und sogar Teekannen. Das einzige, was wir vermissten waren wirklich scharfe Gemüsemesser.Die Betten sind überaus bequem und die ganze Wohnung macht einen gepflegten und sauberen Eindruck. Die Aussicht ist einfach atemberaubend und alles, was man dort oben hört sind Kuckucke und manchmal einen Esel, einen Kauz oder einen Pirol.Die Anfahrt ist allerdings etwas……

“VarennaHolidays staff were very helpful and responsive. Lines of communication were always open, and we felt very confident and supported throughout the whole process. The property was lovely-- great views, very good location, excellent restaurants nearby, close to waterfront and the ferry. The number of steep steps came as a little bit of a surprise.”

“Casa Giulia is a clean and modern villa. The kitchen is well equipped but could do with a few more plates and cutlery. It is in a nice quiet area with good views of the lake.The road upto the villa is very narrow at the top and we were given a large hire car so I would suggest reversing upto the villa.It is ideally situated to use as a base for exploring Lake Como with Bellagio just 15 minutes away and Como itself about 50 minutes away although the roads aren’t the greatest! “Great house. Great space both indoors and outdoors. Great location. Each bedroom with its own bathroom. Perfect for family of 4 or 5. Lack of A/C tough when very hot. My suggestions would be some window covers (so easier to sleep in) and get some nicer outdoor furniture so guests can take better advantage of the 2 terraces which are quite lovely.”
