UK Family Vacation
We were a group of 6 adults and 5 children (2 families and 2 grandparents). There was plenty of room for everyone with the number of beds in the 3 large bedrooms. Bunk beds were put in one of the rooms which worked well.
We appreciated that the managers had left instant coffee, tea and sugar and there was a kettle, stove and washer/dryer which I don't think we used properly, not being familiar with this type of machine.
The ironing board was broken, the drying rack for clothes was broken, the glass tabletop on the terrace had been broken and another piece of glass put on top which essentially made it unusable. The wall-mounted TV did not appear to be very secure. These were all minor issues though.
We did a thorough inspection for cleanliness and considering the age/price of the place it was good. Two full bathrooms worked well although the water was extremely hot (too hot for kids to shower).
The location was good. It is an easy bus ride to Canary Wharf station and the Uber boat dock, once we found it.
It would be really good for the next visitors if some maps, pamphlets, info about the area (shops, walkways, bus routes, boat service, tube) were left.
Our biggest issue was very poor communication with the managers. It took weeks to get answers to simple questions. Our departure date was getting close with no arrival instructions so I contacted VRBO to help, which they did.
For the price and location this was an okay place to stay in the end.
