Love the vibe of this hotel. Staff, pub and club are trendy and fun. Comedy show was fun, but club was noisy on weekends until 2:00 am. Kind of a quirky place but like it overall.
Good location, decent food in the pub. 2 second walk to Balham station with direct trains to Victoria and Clapham as well as the tube.
Only downside was its a bit noisy on a weekend as they have a literal nightclub and pub below but wasn’t bad enough to not sleep.
We had a really lovely stay here for our wedding in London. The rooms were beautiful and clean and staff were friendly and helpful. My mother's room was closer to the rail tracks so hers was quite noisy at times but she used earplugs and was able to sleep. Rooms felt safe and bed was comfortable.
Great base for an overnight work trip. Great rooms, clean/safe, no noise and the coffee machine was much appreciated!

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Staff were welcoming, helpful and efficient. Room is small but clean, comfortable and charming. Mine overlooked the railway tracks but was surprisingly not noisy enough to keep me awake. Live music also not too noisy on the top floor. Elevator goes to 1st floor only, then there is noone to help you haul your suitcase the rest of the way. Very quick walk to trains. Lots of coffee shops and casual dining nearby. If you want to be in Balham, then this is a decent option.
The staff were efficient in checking me in but also sent me a message to tell me that they've moved me to room 14 in response to my request for a quiet room. Room was on the third floor and after the long journey to the hotel as London had tube strikes, my dread became foundless as I managed to use the lift at the back of the pub. The room was clean, bed was comfortable, the AC working, towels fluffy and clean and the coffee from Nespresso machine strong. Thank you for a good night's rest.
Amazing property, really nice manager and all the bar staff were so helpful- I asked for a special request to have the towels folded and she really outdid herself! The room was absolutely gorgeous and we loved every minute, the bar food downstairs was also fantastic. Nothing but positivity and really made our 3rd anniversary worth it <33
The hotel is in a lovely location and has a lot of character, close by the tube. The room is excellent and comfy bed, lovely decor. Only let down and the manager on shift was at times, very unhelpful and I myself felt, quite rude. Apart from that, excellent place to stay
This hotel is over a very tired and noisy pub. Rooms were clean, well apportioned. Thankfully we didn’t spend a lot of time at the property as we were walking a charity marathon overnight but were forewarned about live music and there were ear plugs on the bedside table. £149 and no breakfast - very expensive - the property smells of beer, fried foods and bleach.
Great hotel in great location. Metro stop was 3 min walk from hotel. 20 min metro ride (1 pound) to get to downtown. Cool style to hotel. Will always stay here when im in london.

Lovely stay
A nice night watching the fantastic music downstairs and enjoying a friendly London pub. The Bedroom was roomy and well provided. Bed was very comfy and no street or Rail noise which was a big plus. Lots of places around it to eat or drink at, if the Bedford's menu doesn't appeal . Good price too
This is a pub/hotel. It is a pub with a small number of boutique rooms.
If you want a templated hotel with all rooms identical then stay at a Premier Inn, Travelodge or Holiday Inn Express.
It has character. We had a fantastic bathroom, very comfortable bed and great food in the pub. A twenty minute underground trip into the West End made an ideal location.
Bedroom was very boutique, however one bedside lamp taped up, bathroom sink took ages to empty, shower leaked on the floor , just some simple housekeeping to sort. Bed very comfortable and Fridays and Saturdays can be noisy. However great stay and would go back.
Great value for money - rooms are large boutique designer style close to the over ground but well insulated and not an issue for sleeping - large bar area that has a lift directly to the bedrooms - restaurant very good - nonbrrakfast but recommend Milk a local restaurant for breakfast which is a few hundred yards away - bags of atmosphere and the staff ( especially Hannah) were excellent and so helpful with bags etc… will definitely be back
Such a great hotel, we were only staying one night while visiting London for an event in nearby Brixton, but will definitely be back. It was easily walkable and plenty of transport links nearby if needed. Room was beautiful, very comfy, and we had a gorgeous bathroom. And having a coffee machine in the room is always an added bonus! The Bedford itself is fascinating with lots of event space and full of character. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Will hopefully have more time next time to make use of the cracking freestanding bath!
This a quirky hotel with unusual rooms. Staff very friendly and food lovely especially with a third off. Difficult to park but found street parking. The only observation I would make is the entrance and stairs which could be transformed if cleaned
