The e-mail for check in had not been received on the Hotels.com chat by 2pm, so i messaged and it did come through asap then.
On arrival it was easy to find the key box and gain entrance. The stairs in hallway were a bit rough and the carpet is a bit loose and dirty/worn in patches.
The door to our room was not very secure and a firm push would open the door without need for a key. There is no deadbolt of chain/lock inside to secure yourself in.
The apartment is tired and could do with a layer of paint but as a base it is fine. Bath and shower worked fine with decent enough pressure and hot water. All windows are easy to open to let in fresh air. There was a small drain smell in bathroom but not overwhelming.
Double bed is decent size but very old and needs replacing as sagged in spots. Lots of clothes storage space & wallsockets everywhere.
Kitchen area is fine, fridge needs a new lightbulb and a couple more pans and a sharp knife would help massively. Kettle, Toaster, microwave, washing machine all worked. table and chairs seats 4.
Sofa turned into a double bed for kids who slept fine.
If the owenrs did a day of painting and maintenance this would have got 4-5 stars.
As is in Heathrow flightpath be aware the planes are super close and noisy.
