After staying in a capsule hotel, even the modest room seemed absolutely kingly. Very very quiet (only two rooms a floor). A modest room in a four star hotel will always trump a great room in a 3 star--you get it in service. 24 hour super competent desk, the room solidly appointed with daily cleaning. Two adjoined townhouses, each with its own lift. Our room was 106, rooftop view. Great location between tony, leafy Marylebone with its fabulous restaurants, and the Edgware Road at Marble Arch, with modest establishments and pharmacies etc. Great transit spot. their free "continental breakfast" was lordly.

They service was terrible the bathroom was the dirtiest. I even got fresh coffee on my room carpet. And the front desk Ali is the meanest person ever served im hotels industry. He tells me to shut up because he wanted to charge me for a time i didn’t stay. Over all 1/10 and the for the location

We had a great stay at The Sumner. The breakfasts were good and convenient and the staff was very helpful, calling cabs when we needed them, carrying luggage, getting reservations for us for meals, etc. It's also in a convenient location in London.

Staff was responsive especially the lady running the breakfast in the morning. Rooms need some deferred maintenance addressed but the room rate reflects that. The location is really good. Overall I'd book this joint again if I had to hit a budget in the Portman Square area.

This is a clean, comfortable boutique hotel perfectly placed in London. It is near Marble Arch, and you can get everywhere with public transportation. It is well worth including breakfast when you book. The breakfast bar had a great selection of foods, and the price was excellent; breakfast anywhere else in London would cost you way more. There is a pleasant sitting lounge on the ground floor. There are plenty of restaurants and pubs nearby, and if you are there for a while and need to do laundry, there are two laundromats close by.

This is a quaint residential hotel built into an old mouse in Mayfair. It is only marked by a brass plate near the door. The rooms are spacious even if the hallways are narrow. They have a lift and Air conditioning!!. Breakfast is in the basement and about average for a Continental breakfast. There is an English Breakfast option for an additional cost. Very homey and quiet. This is not a big hotel. Rather than a lobby, they offer a nicely furnished parlor with soft comfortable chairs. They also provide access to a computer and printer. There's a number of excellent restaurants nearby and it is near to Hyde Park and Royal Albert Hall and a shopping street in Kensington. There is only street parking. It is a quiet place to stay not a business hotel. I would stay there again when I return to London. Recommended.

Excellent location for adventuring through London, very close to the Marble Arch, Hyde Park, etc. Breakfast Attendant was very friendly and helpful. She remembered what we liked every morning and brought it right over to us.
The most delicious toast from the cafe. The Server called it "Brown Toast", but it was more like Multigrain, so yummy with Tea.
