This was not the hotel for me. Kind staff. Friendly for the most part. But this hotel is basic, basic, basic. The lobby is not warm and welcoming. It’s got a hostel feel to it. My room was on the ground floor through a little door by the bar. Navigating with luggage was hard. When checking out I had to run a gauntlet of vacuums, wires, mops, chairs and a couple of folks trying to just eat. The room is tiny. I get the concept but this hotel didn’t do it for me. I’ve had better experiences in other hotels with a similar simple style when that’s been what I was looking for and needed. The bed was uncomfortable. The mattress thin and hard. The pillows were extremely low quality, as was the bedding which also had a peculiar and unpleasant smell. I didn’t get a lot of sleep. The lighting was harsh, even with the settings I could choose from. The walls white and basic. The bathroom is essentially right there with you and offers absolutely no privacy if traveling with someone. The shower was also basic. There was no noise cancellation from the hall. I could hear everything. If you don’t mind basic and the price is low then the hotel will be OK. It is in a good location. There is great walkability. Luckily I was here for one night only while waiting to catch a flight. I would have been very upset if this is where I spent my vacation. I’ve had much better ‘hub’ hotel experiences that felt cleaner, more modern, and less stark than this. I wont be returning.
