This is great place to stay. I was traveling without a car and the walk to the city center was a bit long but it was a nice walk. I listened to many podcasts. I had drinks at the bar and noticed the restaurant was packed so the food must be delicious,

Hotel is listed as 4* which it definitely isn’t. It is in need of some serious TLC, with flaking outside paintwork, dead flowers in all the window boxes, tired interior, leaking shower tray & a faulty curtain pole in our room which fell down when I tried to close the curtains!! Staff however, are very pleasant & friendly. The restaurant food was of a good standard, especially the daube of beef.

Easy to miss the entrance. Hotel is clean but a bit in need of a "spruce up". Some of the staff are friendlier than others. A great asset to the hotel is the barman Martin in the snug bar he is a pleasant jovial man. There are plenty of attractions nearby. All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Would have expected air con or a fan in a four star hotel. Also my room next to an area where people were chatting very loudly - not very pleasant. It should be marked as a quiet area.

Had a meal in the restaurant with friends and we all agreed it was delicious .Outdoor areas could do with a wee freshen up and lick of paint but nothing major
