Glebe House

Step into Glebe House, a 19th-century Georgian home that has been restored to the highest standard, blending history with modern luxury. Once home to the Herdman family and the reowned hymnwriter Cecil Frances Alexander, writer of "All Things Bright and Beautiful," our estate offers restored elegance and contemporary comforts. Enjoy the vast grounds, woodland trails and tennis courts available at your doorstep, perfect for a peaceful getaway at a country estate steeped in history and nature.

THE SPACE

Your accommodation is located on the lower ground floor of Glebe House. The property has 4 bedrooms, each offering ample wardrobe space and dedicated workspaces, accommodating up to 9 guests. The apartment also contains two full bathrooms, and a fully equipped, spacious kitchen and living room area fitted with a 65-inch Smart TV for your entertainment. The master bedroom is also adorned with a 50-inch Smart TV. The property also has a family room, with a king-size bed and a single bed, plus a 43-inch Smart TV.

Externally, the estate encompasses extensive grounds, including a sprawling woodland trail situated opposite the prominent Glebe House. As you approach via the private lane, a well-maintained tennis court comes into view, available for complimentary use at your convenience.

GUEST ACCESS

Guests will have full access to the lower ground floor of Glebe House.

Guests also have access to the entirety of the estate's grounds. This encompasses a picturesque woodland trail situated opposite the prominent Glebe House, as well as the well-appointed tennis court.

Fantastic grounds and beautiful house

We had a brilliant few days here. Gorgeous house equipped with all the mod cons you could wish for - enough tvs and WiFi to keep teenagers happy - even an airfryer! The grounds were beautiful and our dog had a wonderful time exploring them. We enjoyed tennis and the lovely riverside walks a few minutes walk away. Quiet and peaceful but close to main towns. The house was immaculately cleaned and everything we needed was there. Thanks to Patrick and Isaac for a fantastic stay - we will definitely be recommending this to friends and would love to return.
