“Communication with John was easy from beginning to end. While the house might be a bit dated, it's clean, comfortable, in a fairly convenient location and of course the view out to the Similk bay is 1000% worth it. We spent a full work week partially remote working and partially exploring Anacortes and the San Juans island region. Major thanks to John who when I asked him about the coffee making situation told me what was there but asked me what I'd prefer. I just happened to send him a picture……

“We stayed at the Cottage at Doe Bay for about a week in late September and had such an amazing time. It was so peaceful and quiet. My husband and I enjoy to cook and thought the kitchen was well stocked. The bed was also comfy. The cottage is within walking distance to Doe Bay Resort and that was also an amazing little spot. It has a nice farm to table cafe and we had dinner and happy hour while we were there. They do have limited days and hours. But I think that’s just island time. Would……

“From the beautiful vistas through the picture windows to the garden patio with the fire pit, everything was perfect! Kingfisher Cover Hideaway felt private and tucked into the trees which provided views of birds and sea life. A great place to unwind and reconnect. We recommend it to anyone looking for that special place to make new memories! A wonderful place to spend our 30th Wedding Anniversary!”

“This home is beautiful and tucked away in a woody neighborhood. It is spacious and well-appointed. I loved the view from all the balconies. You can see the water amongst all the trees. The home is well-loved and gorgeous. (meaning you can tell that it's not brand new, but that doesn't matter because it's very cool looking) I love that it's not a white and grey box. There were records to play and so many games available. The art on the wall is adorable. I only wish we'd had more time there. It's……

“The view was spectacular, there are some deck chairs and we loved the place. The kitchen was decently equipped but better for pre prepped food. Take tea and coffee, none there. We also experienced the sulfur smelling water although it was not too severe. Beds were comfortable, We would definitely book again. ”

“My husband and I had a lovely stay for our 10 year wedding anniversary. The house was cute and clean, and the view was amazing! We saw seals, otters, bald eagles, and deer. The location was so quiet and peaceful, and it was just a quick drive to town. ”

“We enjoyed being minutes from both Cascade Lake and Eastsound. The home is private and equipped, but could use more dishes. Otherwise, it was a great spot for our family of four and small dog. ”

“We really enjoyed our stay! The view from the porch is AMAZING. The rooms were great, everything was clean. It was very quiet too which was relaxing. Deer came to the garden all the days we were there and it wasn’t far from things. The only bummer was the TV was very small and only one bedroom had another TV. But overall, we would stay here again!”

“We had a great stay! We were three women visiting the island for the first time. The house was perfect for us. The beds were comfortable, the location was ideal for walking to restaurants and stores, and the kitchen was very well equipped and stocked. We enjoyed spending time on the patio, and we appreciated the variety of books and games available. Kristen was a very responsive host. We really enjoyed the welcome gift. The only thing that might have improved the stay was if the bedroom……
