“It was our first trip to Boothbay and we couldn't have been more pleased!!! The Shipbuilder's retreat was well appointed in every way! Wide open, well cared for, and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and playing games in the evening. It was a convenient trip to the local grocery store, and was very near to all the beauty and joys of the Harbor, light house's, LL Bean (an hour), and hiking. We LOVE it! “I stayed here with my mom, and it was a fun experience. We loved the animals the sheep, goats, and alpacas. The lounge area was nice too. Our dome was very cool, the beds comfortable, it was a bit cool in there to walk around but we were warm at night. The only negative was the housekeeping could have been better.”

“We loved our stay here! What I loved most was the common area with the large sectional and seating area. Plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out! We used the kitchen for all meals and it was adequately stocked with everything we needed for cookware and utensils. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The location is great, a quiet neighborhood and easy drive to the harbor. The only thing I would suggest to make it a better stay is more towels and adequate bedding for the pullout……

“The location was a 10 minute drive from Boothbay and the rooms were newly renovated and very cute. But some of the furniture was coming apart during normal use. Biggest concerns were as follows:1. Very poor communication from host. They didn't provide us with entry information until the morning of, and didn't answer our messages. We ended up calling VRBO the night before as we were scared from the lack of contact. They got ahold of the host who finally answered us the night before arrival. At……
