About 1 million visitors per year visit nature’s tribute to male fertility in the Love Valley. Its fairy chimneys differ from other examples in the region as they have a wide base, narrow pillar and cone-shaped peak. Millions of years of erosion from wind and rain along with volcanic eruptions formed the rock formations, which are considered both comical and beautiful. The Love Valley is slightly north of Göreme in the heart of Cappadocia. It stands between the charming town and the Göreme Open Air Museum, which is home to fairy chimneys and dozens of carved churches. If you choose to drive, you’ll find plenty of space for parking.
