Nice romantic stay at Hotel Napoleon in Lucca

We had a very pleasant stay at Hotel Napoleon. The room was very good with a balcony. We felt it was also very good service and hospitality. The staff were very nice and friendly, always eager to help whatever we asked for. The breakfast was delicious, home made müssli, scramble eggs, fruit, juice, different types of yoghurt and good coffee just to mention some of what they had. The only thing we were missing was vegetables, for example tomatoes. The location just outside the city wall was perfect for us, just a short walk to the city center or to take the car to visit villages outside Lucca up on the hill side.

Sono rimasta molto delusa da questa struttura. È vicino all’uscita dell’autostrada in una zona molto umida e rumorosa. Il rumore si sentiva anche con le finestre chiuse. Non c’è climatizzazione.Quando l’ho fatto notare lo staff mi ha consigliato di aprire la finestra - con grande maleducazione. Come se non bastasse, la stanza aveva una scala antincendio proprio davanti che rendeva l’apertura della finestra poco sicura oltre che estremamente rumorosa. Non ci sono tapparelle né persiane - se te lo stai chiedendo. Purtroppo il servizio clienti expédia non era disponibile negli orari del mio soggiorno altrimenti mi sarei rifiutata di pagare perché la stanza non corrispondeva affatto alla descrizione e mi sono sentita ingannata e maltrattata.

Staff extremley helpful. Room was spotless & maintained daily .Breakfast very good variety & choices including lovely fresh fruit salad.. Only down sides was just set back fron a very busy main road & the hotel had a petrol station either side of it but it was so easy to walk to the old Town from there and the views of all the surrounding Tuscan hills made up for it we both said that we will defiinatley go back again . The hotel does not have swimming pool so missed not having a swim there but we took a 40 minute bus ride to Vevechia beach so swam there .

Buon albergo per una puntata turistica su Lucca

Le camere matrimoniali sono molto piccole. Il personale è gentilissimo. La posizione dell'hotel non è lontana dal centro (1,5 km dal Duomo) che pertanto è raggiungibile anche a piedi.
