「The location for snorkeling is excellent with 10 min boat rides to healthy coral. The water around the lodge is unfortunately now with some litter from Mabul village.
Come for the snorkeling and scuba diving (which we did not do.」

「I had an awful experience at Scuba Buddy, I would never suggest someone staying there.
Starting from the transfer from the airport, then the conditions of the room (no running water to get showers and no AC!), until the island hopping excursion during which we have been stuck in the middle of the sea for 1 hour because we run out of petrol.
An absolutely awful experience.
The only positive note is the kindness of the staff at the lodge.」

「This is an old a little run down but for transfer divers it is great . My dive resort offered to pick me up at the airport the next morning for free , I opted to pay a taxi driver 50RM , about $15 USD . So worth it because the town is fun at night , many local restaurants, many gift shops , even a place to exchange money . Massage was about $25 USD , legitimate massage . The seafest hotel is at the ideal spot but that was sold out . This one was perfect , I even had a great view of the water ....

「It had air conditioning and a hot shower. The room we booked was a twin room and there was plenty of room to open your bags. With that said, the stairwell was not fun to use because it was narrow and steep. Getting the bags up was a hassle. The power was out for most of a day, so that was pretty miserable to be in. The room was good enough for the price. You get what you pay for. 」
