“The accommodation itself was lovely with a beautiful bathroom, the building itself needed a bit of care in places but because this is a community owned building the money is needed for other things like the rooms which have been done. I do not think this is a hotel but more a bed and breakfast as you have to pay for an evening meal in the bar/restaurant downstairs every night along with any drinks, you are unable to charge them to your room. “Beautiful house and stunning views and location. Would highly recommend to able bodied people. Unfortunately the description Hotels.com. used was inaccurate and we would not have booked the property. There is NO - on site parking as stated. On arrival the property is located at the end of a terrace of 5 houses down an uneven path and through 2 gates. The nearest the car can park to off load was at the end of the terrace so all luggage had to be carried 90+ steps to the property. The car then had……

“Good location in beautiful scenery not far from some walks. On a main road but it was completely silent at night. Suite was lovely and bigger than expected, with beautiful views, and a very modern bathroom with a fab shower. The bed did have a weird slope to it though which put our feet higher than our heads! Food in the pub at dinner time was expensive and average, although breakfast was plentiful and good quality. Enjoyed our stay very much. ”

Fish and chips - fish soggy not crispy, pooling with oil and the crushed Parmesan potatoes like something you would concrete bricks together with and the local trout was so overcooked it was hard to chew it. The fish and chips were sent back and the second attempt was worse, fish still swimming in oil, the chips re-used from the first attempt and so cold at this point, the tartare sauce had……
