“Charming 3-level cottage with very cosy tv-lounge on lowest level. Street-level entry is to the kitchen area and main bathroom and 2 bedrooms are upstairs. Freshly decorated and clean. Bigger cars will struggle navigating the tiny lanes to park outside the property; that said, a rather large builder's van working across the road had no trouble. Overall, very good.”

“Small but cosy. Excellent location in beautiful area with direct access to hiking routes. Friendly folks, convenient parking, dogs can freely play and swim right next door. No airco or stove/hub. Loads of peace and quite, but occassionally noisy motorcycles on the road in front. Great stay for hiking couples!”

“Had a lovely time at April Cottage in Settle”

“The property was lovely and very cosy. I took milk and coffee with me but there was already coffee, tea, sugar, milk, and water supplied. Take essentials with you cos it's a single lane along the countryside and, it's a trek to the nearest shop. It has beautiful views through all the windows and there was a beautiful waterfall just a 10 minute walk from the property. The host was very friendly and replies fast. My sister was unwell on the morning of checkout and the host was extremely……

“Would we recommend this holiday let ? absolutely ! it was a fabulous place to stay. The cottage was well appointed, warm, very clean and a pleasure to stay in.There were plenty of local places to visit. It was lovely break for us all.”

“Lovely little cottage in Trawden. Had a little trouble finding it as Google maps has it on the left side of the round as you come down the hill but it's on the right but other than that everything else was spot on. Went to the Trawden Arms in the village for a couple of drinks Saturday early evening. Friendly welcoming staff & there were quite a few people in having a drink so a good atmosphere. We didn't eat there but a lot of tables were reserved for dinning so I'm assuming it's a good place……

“Vozy, comfortable and very central for places of interest.”

“Incredible location for walking and enjoying swaledale. House is comfortable and well provisioned, fantastic host. Whole place could do with a deep clean though and the mattress is knackered 😂 We had a great time”

“Great location for our short Dales walking holiday. Within a short walk from Settle station which gave us access to the 3 Peaks from Horton in Ribblesdale and Ribblehead.”

“A very quiet location in a rural area, ideal position for visiting towns in the area such as Hawes, Leyburn etc. The cottage overlooks fields and stables in the distance, there is a lot of wildlife, rabbits ,squirrels, to see along with the owners ducks, chickens and two cheeky dachshunds. We found the best Coop for supplies was to be found at Masham not far away with easy parking.”

“Had a lovely time at Cross cottage. It was a lovely quiet location but only 5 min drive to Kirkby Lonsdale for restaurants pubs and shops. Great for all the Yorkshire dales hills and villages. Garden to the cottage was well maintained and relaxing. Good Wi-Fi and free sat too. Shower was super powerful . Always a bonus. Only improvement would be curtains over French doors now the darker nights are coming back for added privacy and cosy feel. Would definitely book again n this cottage and this……

“The cottage was lovely with many traditional features. Lovely views. Enough local amenities for any stay, plus you get to see lots of horses!”

“Our accommodation was thoughtfully equipped, with every detail beautifully considered. Stylish, spotless, and incredibly comfortable, it’s a wonderful place to relax — especially with the stunning views from Penhill. Henry and Penny are exceptional hosts, full of great recommendations for walks, restaurants, and local history. A truly memorable stay that we’d highly recommend.”
