“We spent our Whitsun holidays at the JW Marriott Crete with our young kids and had a great time. The resort is beautiful, located right at the quiet end of Marathi Bay. It’s incredibly family-friendly—the staff were amazing with the children, and the kids' pool is perfect since it's shallow, warm, and shaded by a sun sail. “Die Restaurants sind gut und abwechslungsreich. Am Strand sind leider einige Steine was es etwas unangenehm macht ins Meer zu gehen (am besten Gummi-Schuhe mitnehmen). Es war schon etwas geschäftig, da muss man sich drauf einstellen, liegen war aber immer vorhanden, beim Essen war es manchmal recht voll und entsprechend laut.”

You do need to check into the actual hotel (which this is not, this is the villas), which is like 5-10 mins away by car, and I'll say this now that the hotel does have a restaurant. It was nice that when requested, they quickly delivered an iron and ironing board since it wasn't already inside our villa. The whole property was really clean and well maintained. The building has lots of history and has a pool and an en site convenience store which is really useful. The breakfast was incredible! It was served on the balcony of our room.
