Economy unit

Great location. Great balcony view. Clean, secure property and unit. But this is an ECONOMY unit. The cheapest option for toilet tissue to pillows/mattress to showerhead/bathroom fixtures and so on are provided. My impression all week was that if anyone cared, they would spend $500-$1000 and make this unit look great, but alas, "cheap' is the feeling.

Top floor condo

Like most others stated in their review, the condo is a bit outdated. I think a few fixtures in the bathroom and kitchenette would go a long way. The umbrella holder was broken, so the umbrella kept floating away. There is very little shade at the pool. But the views were very nice. Dolphins played in the water about 20 feet from the shore. There’s a band of shells a couple feet wide along the beach that you have to cross to get to the water. It was just the two of us, so it suited our needs.

This was our second time renting this condo. Love the view from the 10th floor. The condo is nice. The building is very secure, you need your key everywhere you go.

Great place, perfect location! Million dollar views. Easy, pleasant checkin.

The condo was clean, sheets fresh, view of gulf was incredible. The kitchen was stocked appropriately with everything we needed. Plenty of dishes, utensils, pans etc. too many good restaurants not to eat dinner out, but had breakfast and lunch there. Will definitely stay here again. Friendly staff at Horizons too.

Upon reading the reviews the condo was just what was reviewed. It could use some updating. An hour or two with some paint and a scrub brush would make a huge difference. But an absolutely gorgeous view and prime location.

The view was outstanding and we didn’t spend much time in the unit. That said, it’s in SERIOUS need of updating. The stove and dishwasher are vintage. Upon opening the dishwasher a chunk of paint fell off. The bathroom had mold on the shower curtain and in the shower handle. The shower head had to be the original from 1990. The tiles on the bathroom floor had black streaks on them. Not dirt, more like ingrained scuff marks. The sliding door to the balcony took two hands and a lot of strength to open/close. The screen to the balcony was useless as it came off the track. The door jam to the unit was broken and appeared to have been pried open at some point. All in all, we were only there 3 nights and it served its purpose but updates are desperately needed.

Needs update/deep clean

The location of this condo was fantastic! Great views but overall, the entire property from condo to restaurant could use a deep clean. The unit itself was outdated and the bathroom could use a good cleaning. With all the rules and cleaning charges I expected better. I guess that’s what happens when you book last minute. Glad we didn’t have to spend much time inside.

Priced appropriately

Very good location and great view of coast. Easy accuses to beach and underground parking was nice although there was a one-time charge that i don’t remember seeing listed. Inside was pretty dated inside with older kitchen area but for the price it seemed fair value. Lots of security with key needed to get just about everywhere. Would benefit with some upgrades.

The place grew on us because we weren't there much! Just go to the beach & leave the filth and dark

Initially, we were very much taken aback by several things related to this unit. NO WHERE does it say in the listing that you must have your lights off and shades down at 8pm to 7:30am because of the turtles nesting or be fined thousands of dollars!! Ok. That's fine BUT TELL US BEFORE not when you are checking in! thumbs down for sure on lack of a head's up. Also, the privacy of this unit is really lacking! Pictures online neatly HIDE the fact that you MUST keep the bedroom (which was dark and dreary anyhow) unless you want to wave to people right outside in the hallway! Peek-a-boo ocean view from this single bedroom window but... you are literally in the hallway with this window!! Also, no privacy on balcony! It is RIGHT NEXT TO another balcony and you can easily see them and they can see you! NOT PRIVATE! No pictures of that online! Ok... also only one lounger was on the balcony... when I called to mention I was told "Oh, we removed it because people said it was cramped, if you are going to stay, we will send one over". So, they were responsive to that issue. Ok... I fully admit my bias about cleanliness. I always wash the dishes we are going to use before we use them, but I don't typically have to wash down the cabinets too! When I mentioned I was not pleased with the unit for the price and asked to be moved I was told I would get a call back. Which I did. and was told, "If you don't like it, you can leave and we'll refund you". Mind you, there were not a lot of other options to find and the owner is a rental agency (Horizons)... why couldn't they be more accommodating with simply finding an alternative unit? Anyhow, the view from the common area was very nice (when you can have the shade up and you are sitting away from the balcony so you aren't having a vacation with your neighbors too). Overall, the location in town is quite nice. The beach is beautiful. So this was just a place to shower and sleep. I would have just assumed paying the same for nice hotel with a view of the pool or parking lot that didn't include being on top of neighbors and having to keep curtains down out front because of turtles and out back because of the hallway. First Vrbo experience, probably will be last. Good luck. This is meager accommodations for the price tag. Oh, and another thing... don't give me a list of chores to do before check out and still charge me a cleaning fee.... oh wait.... maybe that's part of the problem??

How can you complain when that view is so amazing? Deck is big. The king size bed was pretty comfortable. The unit is not updated but I wasn’t there for the condo. Everyone at the condo was great. I would go to this condo again.

Great view!

So first impression didn't go well due to a miscommunication between housekeeping and the owner and when my family arrived, the condo wasn't clean. The owner was very responsive and within a couple of hours it was ready to go. He even paid for our dinner for the troubles (I still need to submit the receipt). The condo was perfect for my little family, it had everything we needed for our stay, enough dishes, pots/pans for dinners and lunches and plenty of beach toys for my kids. While we were there, the toilet quit working, I contacted the owner and the next day it was fixed. I was very impressed with the owner and his responsiveness to make sure everything was in working order. Overall, it was a good place to stay, it's a bit outdated, but the pictures are 100% accurate and that didn't bother me because we didn't stay inside much.
