“The heritage harbor is a really nice community to stay at and a good location. We visited downtown ottawa, utica and starved rock. The grill is conveniently right out the door near the pool which is also very close. I loved the cute little screen in areas where you can eat your food or play games. They also have a restaurant onsite which was really good. They had live music when we arrived on Sunday outside near the tiki bar. The set up of the house was perfect for my family and we had……

“I booked the house for a work trip for three weeks. The grill was filthy, rusted, and the electronic ignite didn't work. It took two weeks to get a replacement. When the replacement arrived, the old one was left there as well. No grill brush provided to clean it and no cover to protect it from the rain. The carpet on the stairs and upstairs in the bunkbed room was dirty with dark spots. The outdoor patio furniture was dirty and torn. Housekeeping attempted to launder it but ended up throwing the……

It was super helpful having the resource which showed us all the different things that were close. Simply the best. This place was like a little diamond in the rough. “We were a Dad, an adult son and hi two friends, so 4 large guys. The Happy Traveler Cabin was super clean, well stocked and roomy, we were very comfortable. Nicole did a great job and was easy to communicate with. We visit Starve Rock/Matthiesson/Ottawa several times a year, and this location was perfect. I posted a Turkey visitor in the backyard”

“First of all this is a townhome surrounded by other townhomes that are is not facing the woods. Yes, you can walk down to the main road and cross over to go hiking at starved park. They are not part of the resort so no amenities like the water park, and gym are included in it. The place was ok cleaned, the 1st floor shower had hair from previous people who stayed, coffee maker had a filter with coffee in it that had mold growing in it. Besides that the place is located near many hiking areas,……

“Place is run down. Cracks in walls and ceiling. Half the cabinets dont have hardware. Hosts stock it with the absolute minimum amount of paper towels, soap, ect. The main issue i have is the property decided to close the entire area and spray tar sealant over the parking lot right before a massive thunderstorm. We had to run through runny tar to get to the rental which ruined all of our shoes. When I asked for a small discount the owner ghosted me. There are dozens of other properties……
