Loved the woods and firepit. Communication with the owner was fantastic! Beds were wonderful! A great getaway. Decking was deteriorated and needed some attention which we notified the owner. Overall, a great stay!

Nice Little Hideaway

We really enjoyed our visit to the cabin. Close enough to Starved Rock to do a nice little day trip. Nice and private. Place was clean and well maintained.

The cabin was nice, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was mostly ok so I just point to negatives. I was disappointed with the outdoor areas. The decks were in poor condition, covered with debris and fallen brush. One section of the guardrail was broken, which was concerning. The garage was unusable, we had to park our cars outside. Also, the first floor bathroom only had a tub with a handheld shower which was a bit inconvenient. The water smells awful, we used bottle water even for washing up.

If you want a quiet retreat from city life, this is a great option! It's about 35 minutes from starved rock. The decks and outdoor space are great!

perfect getaway

Great place to stay when you need a getaway in nature. beautiful property with a space to do some exploring out back, has all the amenities you need in the kitchen, laundry, and hangout spaces. short drive to town to get supplies if needed, but we just brought everything with us and hunkered down for a gaming/hiking weekend. The owner was communicative and thoughtful as well. Highly recommend!

Great family cabin for vacas!

This trip was one for the books. We really enjoyed the cabin layout and the hospitality this owner showed us the entire process. Only tricky thing was Google maps related as far as the address goes. Google did not inform some family to continue down the long gravel driveway. We will be reaching out for future stays here again!

Great Spot in the Woods

I stayed here with a small group of friends and it was the perfect spot for us. We enjoyed being outside on the expansive deck and were even able to enjoy a rainstorm on the covered front porch. A short walk into the woods provided the adventure of exploring while still being able to see the cabin. We talked about coming back again even while we were there. In all, a great vacation location.
