"After the warm welcome, we were shown to our room and all the room facilities were explained properly. The property has so much fascinating history and the current owners have gone thru great lengths to keep it all in the best conditions. We loved the breakfast with a great choice. No one is leaving here hungry! "

"We had lovely hosts! The breakfast was delicious and we could've only wished to have stayed longer!
The airline forgot our luggage and our hosts were most kind and helpful while getting things settled for the airline to deliver our bag.
The place was warm and inviting, and was well kept! Next door was a pub with delicious food as well and very convenient. We could not recommend this place enough!"

The property is very well located for public transport and just a short walk to Buxton attractions

"Parking area was fine except for a few who parked outside the marked areas and made exiting difficult. Room was comfortable, one chair had wobbly legs and didn't feel safe otherwise fine. We did not have breakfast so can't comment on it. Staff were very friendly and helpful"
"The room was large and very comfortable with mix of modern and traditional to suit the old building. The bathroom was spotless and beautiful. We had to be out before breakfast normal serving time. The staff were amazing and spoke to the chef who allowed us to have an earlier breakfast. The porridge was delicious and creamy best I can remember."
"The room was spacious and clean, the big bed was very comfortable, we paid for breakfast separately but found it very reasonable and a very good selection. The food was quality produce. But my highest praise goes to the courtesy and service level provided by the staff. We had issues on our journey to the hotel and they could not of been more helpful and considerate. We will definitely be looking to stay here again. "

Newly refurbished luxury 5 bed riverside house with hot tub and annexe.
10/10 Excellent
"Hot tub was amazing and spotless, just like the whole house. The dog was well catered for and she enjoyed her stay. We didn't find the hot tub floodlight switch until we were leaving,so a note about it would have helped. Also lights in the hot tub didn't work, but not a major issue. The towel rail in the ensuite wasn't working. Apart from those issues we had a fantastic weekend. Thank you "
"We used The Family Tree hotel/b&b as a stop over on the way to Bath. The place was superb… very clean, good facilities in the room, with a hearty and delicious breakfast. The off street parking in also very convenient. Additionally the staff were helpful, friendly and polite. Thx for a lovely stay"
