Hidden Gem

It’s a lovely little cottage just tucked away, on the outskirts of Matlock. Great shower, comfy beds and so peaceful.

Tranquility

We tend to seek out places that are quiet and isolated but not too far from amenities. Waterfall Cottage fitted that bill very well indeed and was very peaceful, has everything you need while away and most of the Peak District places we wanted to visit were 25 mins or less away. Lovely local walk in Lumsdale too. The microbrewery next door also makes a lovely Golden ale. So we very much enjoyed our stay.

What a place.

Spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Perfect location for family with kids. Felt safe to let the children explore in their own which have the adults much needed rest. Host was lovely and helpful. Goodies and wine in arrival muchly appreciated. The weather also helped but the cottage remained cool even at night. Only thing missing was some BBQ tools but made do with a knife and wooden spoon combination. Thanks for a great stay!

Lovely secluded cottage located close to Matlock and a fabulous pub (the gate @ Tansley).

Lovely secluded cottage located close to Matlock and a fabulous pub (the gate @ Tansley). Cosy accommodation with open fire, which was needed given the wet weather we had. The owner went out of their way to make our short stay great. They were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely return.
