Staff and room service was always helpful and did a great job in cleaning the room. Had a great view to the pool and ocean. Would definitely recommend El Cid and consider going back.

Rooms were clean but dated, A/C barely kept room cool! Pool view with no view of ocean. Pool chairs always reserved with no one in them for many hours. No access to beach chairs either. Staff were amazing and friendly.
Always a great time when we stay here. Staff is always accommodating and excellent to deal with. They’ll go above and beyond to make sure your stay is amazing.
Staff here are so friendly and service was great. Fabian took time to talk to us in the mornings, he was welcoming and kind. Mario at the Italian restaurant was funny and kind, and provided great service as well. Everyone did a great job, and work so hard. The accommodations are clean and the building is also clean throughout.
We had a small issue with our room that came up mid way through our trip, but we were moved right away and there were no other problems.
Thanks for a great stay.
Really excellent service way beyond friendly customer service very helpful. Really recommended hundred percent can’t wait to come back.

With the elite package, food was amazing and plentiful. Easy to book Al a carte restaurants. Had some issues with one of the housekeepers, but it was rectified with one phone call. The other housekeeper was amazing.
Resort is a bit rundown but clean.
The staff stood out. They were amazing, starting with check in. We had a slight problem with our booking and Candy was very courteous with helping resolve the issue. She is definitely an asset to this resort.
It was ok. I guess that I expected more from an all inclusive resort. But the bed was comfortable & the water pressure was great. I didn’t expect to have to pay for in room coffee or the bottles of water, not very “all inclusive”.

Honestly such an amazing resort, the staff were incredible, inviting and wonderful. The pool areas were family friendly and so beautiful. The experience was beyond amazing
Been to this resort 8 times over the past 14 years, for a reason. The service is great, the food is good, very good at the a la cartes. THIS time however, and this is the reason I will not go back again - the hotel allows mexican bands on the beach to play if someone hires them. Which in the past was fine - they would play a few songs and move on. What has changed is they now have amplifiers and speakers, which DRAMATICALLY increases the volume. As well, they basically played for 4-5 hours straight, ALL AFTERNOON (from 1-5 pm), EVERY DAY!! It was beyond annoying! You could hear it CLEARLY from our room on the fourth floor, to the point we could not have a siesta if we wanted to, and the trumpets and tuba was SO loud.
Every Day.
4-5 hours.
Other hotels have signs on the beach prohibiting guests from hiring these bands. The El Cid should seriously consider this, because if they don't, I will never book there again.

I like the swimming pool area but the only good restaurant is La concha .
Ideal for families. Food was excellent considering an all inclusive resort, alcohol drinks could be better. I didn't like the resort fee and no free internet.
Beautiful property with great customer service & very friendly staff. Only thing I didn’t like was that there are no microwaves & no mini fridges in the room.
