“Working in area for business so thought I’d try something closer to the town due to evening plans. Welcomed on arrival (needed to phone number on door due to small team running the place) and showed to room (top floor…not ideal if you can’t handle stairs!). Room good size, plenty of home comforts and most importantly good bed and shower! Overall a solid experience and will be back I’m sure when in area. ”

The rooms were large and beautifully furnished with everything you could want and shiny clean. “Made to feel very welcome. Lovely fresh, clean room with a comfortable bed and good quality linen, which always aids a good night's sleep. Also huge bath towels which I love. Good selection of teas and coffee with fresh milk provided, which was nice. There were also some sweet treats and a tourist map provided in the room, which was very useful. “We received such a lovely warm welcome from Vanessa and Cameron on arrival at the Millbrook, which immediately made us feel at home. “Wonderful staff. Our deluxe sea view rooms on 4th floor had beautiful views. We requested rooms where pets were not allowed due to my uni student teenage daughter's allergies. She arrived with red, itchy face and her face improved significantly during our 4 day stay, so they clearly obliged. Furthermore we were put in interconnected rooms and this really made our stay - connected via corridor. All staff were very friendly from the young chap on reception to the breakfast and spa staff. “Adequate parking for my large Van, beautiful surroundings, very friendly staff on arrival at check in. The room was spacious and comfortable, very clean and all the usually amenities. “I found the hotel perfect for a short stay in Torquay. Only a 10 minute walk to the seafront and free parking just outside the entrance. I had a lovely cooked breakfast every morning with some extra treats. Really friendly place and I'm going back there in the summer. I'm using the hotel as a base to meet my friends who return to Torquay twice a year.”
