“We stayed at this property while visiting Tallahassee for an FSU game, and found this gem about 40 minutes away from the stadium. The property is at the top of what seems to be an apartment complex with about 7 other units with tenants. It is a small unit, with a very cohesive interior design with beautiful updated fixtures. The unit itself was very clean and tidy. The inside space is a bit on the small side, but there is a very good use of space. The surrounding area was very quiet and peaceful……

“The best part of the location is that the entire property is in it's natural state. The retreat blends in with the surrounding landscape. Why anyone would cut down the trees, fill in the swamp land to build a seawall, then build a giant house and have a yard to mow is beyond me. Kudos to the owner for respecting what makes the place a beautiful place to stay.”

“We enjoyed a memorable experience! The host Debbie was incredible in terms of attentiveness, flexibility and overall hospitality! As tournament anglers, we arrived at the property to find a pole barn style parking location for all 4 of our boats with power and water. The log cabin has a great full kitchen with an awesome bar filled with seating and an awesome den and dining room. The bedrooms were top notch! I highly recommend this property and this will be our Panacea "Go-To" place to stay!……

She graciously left us snacks which was greatly appreciated since we arrived late and we're tired so a snack and bed was perfect. Love love the tv room. Every room is decorated so charming. “What a wonderful cottage! The host, Sarah, went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel comfortable. The cottage is located in a great location close to many hotspots for birding and nature exploring. Upon arrival we were greeted with delicious homemade muffins and fresh eggs that came from the neighbor’s chickens. The cottage was very clean, comfortable, and cozy. It was fully stocked with all the necessities and much more. A canoe & kayaks were available for our use but unfortunately……

“The beach house is well appointed and maintained. Everything one would need for a stay is already there (minus the food, of course). The rooms were just as shown in the pictures, clean and well organized. We enjoyed fishing off the beach; although no one swam in the water due to the murky color. In the evening we enjoyed walking on beach as the tide went out. Overall, it was a lovely time.”

“If you are looking for a wildlife retreat, believe the hype! We vist the area often to go paddling, and this will be our first choice property from now on. This modern "cabin" is a breath of fresh air. The house is a perfect blend of rustic and cosmopolitan and the property is a combination tamed and untamed which creates a wonderful haven for the local critters. In the mornings, we enjoyed sitting on the screened in porch watching and listening to nature in all her glory. We were visited by……

“We absolutely loved our stay here. The entire family was able to spread out and get comfortable (you could get lost in the couch). The kitchen and bathrooms were spotless and almost luxurious. Additionally there was a nice little welcome basket when we arrived. Would have loved to have used the fit put out back but wasn’t there long enough. Unfortunately, my daughter just graduated and I won’t be coming back to Tallahassee. If I did, I would stay here when with my family or a large group.”

“Second time staying here and I'll book here from now on. Perfect in all ways but for it is 35 minutes from FSU which is both a good thing and a bad thing. Clean, in a tranquil area, right next to the river, nicely decorated, and the owner has thought of everything. It was my son's graduation, and she left goodies and a balloon and graduation cup. Super thoughtful!”

“Had a great stay for a football game weekend at FSU. This is a beautiful, clean home in an amazing "old Florida" setting overlooking the salt marsh. Great seafood in several Panacea restaurants. Worth the 40 minute drive to Tallahassee!”
