“Not the fault of the facility, lightning had destroyed the elevator control council and the Ice machine on our floor. I am 76 with bad arthritis and don't do stairs well, but there were no rooms available on the first floor. When we got to our room, the toilet would not stop running. The handle sticks down, and I had to bend the float rod to get it to stop running. Had to lift the handle after that. The air conditioner was very loud when the compressor kicked in. “This room defied my expectations. At first I thought it was in a more run down part of town, but pulling up it was right next to a shopping center. The room was nicer than expected and clean. The bathroom was clean as well. The hallways were not that clean and one of the outside doors was covered in these disgusting mayflies. The Continental Breakfast was lacking, with only some cereal and breakfast bars. I couldn't figure out how to change the channel on the TV and it only pars Cars 1, but I……

“Room was clean, and drag was superb but the toilet was difficult to flush. Also breakfast was ridiculous - I got there at 7:15am and there were 4 slices of white bread, a half a container of Froot Loops, and 4 or 5 bananas. That was it. Coffee was good though, so there's that”

“We will never return to this hotel unless it undergoes extensive renovation. POSITIVES: it appears the room has new furniture, new vinyl floor and a new bedspread. It has a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker and a small cable TV. The hotel was quiet and the bed was marginally comfortable. The tub was clean, but when the bathroom floor was mopped, large wads of soapy hairballs were left in the corners of the floor. “The property is clearly in some kind of transition from one owner to the next, and I believe houses some longer term tenants. Some of them were hanging out outside the hotel, smoking, and it looked like they might have been taking shelter from living in the streets. The area outside of the hotel is unkempt and overgrown. Parking there felt unsafe and creepy. The lobby area was a work in progress when I came in, and the room was spacious and had potential, but the carpet was stained and old, as……
