Summary:

Beach Haven at Snowdrift is a unique beach property located in Miramar Beach, FL. This is a duplex with two complete sides that are included with your rental, even a private pool and fenced in yard. This property is perfect for large families or groups traveling together that want to gather in the communal areas then retreat to their private units when desired and Beach Haven at Snowdrift can sleep up to fourteen guests.



The Space:

Side A: Main living area is located on the second floor. Baby gates are at the top and bottom of the stairs. The top floor has a fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals, a breakfast bar, and a dining area. A living area with queen size sleeper sofa for extra guests, a flat screen TV, and a private balcony. A half bathroom on the second floor. The first floor includes 2 master bedrooms with queen-size beds and a full-size bathrooms. Washer and dryer in unit.

Side B: Main living area is located on the second floor. Baby gates are at the top and bottom of the stairs. The top floor has a fully stocked kitchen for preparing meals, a breakfast bar, and a dining area. A living area with queen size sleeper sofa for extra guests, a flat screen TV, and a private balcony. A half bathroom on the second floor. A master bedroom with a queen size bed and a full-size bathroom. A second bedroom with two sets of twin size bunk beds (Great for the kids). Washer and dryer in unit.

The Neighborhood:

Visit the white sandy beaches of The Gulf of Mexico just a short walk away (About 150 yds). Dine at an array of local restaurants located nearby or visit local attractions such as Big Kahuna’s Water and Adventure Park. Shop at the Destin Commons or the Silver Sands Outlet Mall. Take the short drive down to the Destin Harbor and visit The Harborwalk Pavilion for the fireworks! Book a fishing trip or rent a boat and spend the day at Crab Island. The possibilities are endless!

Perfect location. 5 min walk on a private road to the beach. It was very clean with plenty of linens. Pool was clean. Plenty of outdoor seating. Living room was way bigger than I thought it would be. Walking distance from shopping, food and beach. The beach is semi private and not crowded at all. Host is quick to respond. You only have one neighbor on one side. The other side is a parking lot and Alvin’s island. It’s on a gated street that’s extra safe. Every tv is Roku so you can put your info in and watch your own stuff. Now, the unit allows dogs but the beach DOES NOT. My little poodle is a service dog so she’s allowed on the beach in the mornings and afternoons. That was the highlight of my trip!! Just don’t book this property with the intention to take your pet to the beach!! Take them to the dog park. We went every day for an hour and had a blast. We traveled with college kids for spring break. This was a perfect place for teens and college age. They could crank up their music and huddle up in the living rooms or pool.While still being mindful of our neighbor they had a little more freedom to “be teenagers”. It was better than a condo.I’m not far from Destin so we go frequently. I only get condos directly on the beach with a view of the water.In the past I’ve refused to rent anything that wasn’t with a view of water.This unit changed that mindset completely.I have no desire to ever rent anything but this property from now on.My high expectations were met!
Our dog was obsessed with the balcony.

We stayed for almost 1.5 weeks during the holidays & it was perfect for our family & our dog. The location was amazing as we had daily walks on the beach & even some swim time on some of the warm days we had. The house was well equipped & had all the amenities to make us feel comfortable. This was a perfect rental for our family gathering. Because of the two sides of the duplex, people that wanted to do electronic things or TV had the privacy of one side of the duplex , while those that wanted to play board games had the privacy of that side of the duplex. It was the perfect set up. The private pool was an added plus!!
We celebrated my daughter’s 50th birthday - she lives in Mississippi and I live in Georgia- so we met in the middle!!

We enjoyed our time at the house. It was clean and a nice setup for 2 families. It’s a bit further than we’re use to from the beach but was manageable. We take a canopy and a few ice chests so it’s pretty far if carrying a lot. We ended up driving down to the end of the street and unloading and then it was fine. If you’re taking an umbrella and chairs I think it would be fine. The street is full of beautiful homes. This is the 1st house and it’s right behind Alvin’s Island and dollar general so that was extremely convenient! We did catch a homeless man multiple days taking a shower in the outdoor shower(in his clothing) but told him to leave and he didn’t come back the rest of the trip. Just something to be mindful of if letting kids go out without an adult.

Maybe it's the mom in me, but the one thing that struck a chord was the fact that we flew there on an airplane which disabled any extra packing and then on arrival, having to supply my own paper products and condiments like salt and pepper, foil,cling wrap, dishsoap was VERY annoying, plus I had to leave those items at the house when we left. otherwise, nice house in a nice area

Fantastic stay

Communication was clear, friendly and prompt. Everything was exactly as described, beach chairs and umbrellas in good condition. We had 7 adults and 5 children and everyone was comfortable and had a great time. Appreciated the safety of the locks on the doors and fencing around the property, as well as the fence around the pool. Would absolutely recommend and hope to stay again in the near future!

Spring Break Getaway!

This was the perfect getaway location for two families. We were able to play, cook, eat, drink, laugh together all day and into the night but were able to shut the doors when one of the kids got tired or someone wanted to some quiet time. The units are identical with one of the bedrooms in unit B offering bunks which was nice for the other family with four kids. All the creature comforts of home with a few extras like beach towels, chairs and umbrella. It would have been nice to have a folding wagon to tote all the beach supplies to the water (about 1000') but being that close we either made multiple trips or drove a car down and dropped stuff off. In all honesty, it wasn't bad at all. Hey, you're in paradise, on a gated road, walking to a semi-private beach. The units were both clean and fresh upon arrival. The pool was as described and the kids loved it. A few games would have been nice for rainy afternoons and coasters for the coffee tables would also help preserve them. It was a bit of a hassle going up and down from side to side during meal prep but we got over it. A door from one unit to the other would be nice but it is understood, it is not that simple. One thought may be to put a gate on the exterior porch. Overall, we loved the location and it fit our families perfectly. If we were to come back to the Destin/Miramar Beach area, we would look at here first for availability.

I was impressed with the house and the online pictures were accurate to the house. I also enjoyed the extra beaches towels included and the beach chairs in the closet. I enjoyed having a hose on the front porch to clean my feet from sand. Only complaint was I wish it was connected to the other side on the top level. Because it was a lot stairs to go up to was all.

Have a great time. Location was short walking distance to private beach access. The kids loved the pool. The only thing I wish was it had a lock out between the 2 units. You have to go downstairs, over to the next unit and back upstairs to go between.

We had an amazing stay. Minus the slight inconvenience of having to go out everytime you wanted to go to the other side since there is no joining door. The property was clean. Overall our stay was ‘okay’. House has a good location just about 100 yards from the beach so that was good. You are also positioned right next to an Alvin’s souvenir shop, which brought some noise-not totally terrible but you will hear it. Otherwise, it is unfortunate there is no internal door between each side of the duplex. It doesn’t seem like a big deal until you have to go downstairs and out the front or back door each time you want to go to the other side of the unit. Then go back up stairs to the living areas of each unit. If you have older people with you this will get old quick. I think some minor upgrades like better wifi, maybe provide more than 1-2 dish towels, a few extra blankets for the living spaces. Obviously, not end of the world but just some simple improvements that would make the stay more comfortable. Danielle was super responsive with any questions we had, so no complaints there.
