“We had a wonderful stay with Deep and Julie on their Catermeran. We enjoyed some wonderful sailing and anchored near an Island for the night. We had a lovely evening sharing stories over dinner and watching the sun go down! I was impressed how warm and cosy the boat was and how well we all slept! Waking up surrounded by nature and beautiful scenery in the morning was very special and we enjoyed basking up the sunshine before setting sail. It was a great adventure for both children and adults……

“The houseboat was amazing! It was incredibly serene and quiet, making it a wonderful place to relax. We were not far from Aalsmeer, which is a lovely town to explore. We took taxis to Hoofddorp, where we could easily hop on the train to travel around the area. The houseboat itself was spacious and comfortable to move around in, and both the beds and couches were very comfortable. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend the houseboat to others. There were two concerns worth……

“Was able to store luggage before check in time although host did not answer phone when I called before as agreed. Check in was smooth later. Shops and restaurants are nearby(less than 10 min walking). I would recommend putting in a dehumidifier since the boat was humid and made it feel cooler than it was. Bathroom with sink is awkward since sink is 1/2 way under an overhang of the deck so difficult to brush teeth and was face without getting water all over the floor. Would recommend installing……

Bunk

Summary (EN): The hotel is artistically stunning and the staff is incredibly kind (helped my elderly mom with a lower bunk!). However, the walk from the ferry is a struggle—it’s about 8 mins for light travelers, but took me 15 mins dragging two heavy suitcases. NO kitchen, NO fridge, NO kettle (must get hot water from the bar). Shared bathrooms for 40-50 people get messy by evening. Best for backpackers with light luggage! "
