“We booked through Expedia a two bedroom boat house on the canal. I expected to be able to stand in the bedroom. The so called second bedroom waa in the floor, you lift the floor and go down about 4 stairs and have to climb into a couple bucks. This was not what was advertised. We asked to get our money back as this was not acceptable for 2 70 year olds. My Grandson and his girl where traveling with us, he's 6'2' and truly couldn't fit that space either. “The pictures of the houseboat in the ad were accurate - it is very nice and immaculately clean. The landlord is nice and very helpful and responded very quickly to our every question/concern. It also is in a very nice location - we were very happy we spent the extra money to stay in the canal district ON a canal - another thing off my bucket list!”

“We really liked being on a houseboat on the Canal. The hosts were lovely and helpful, an indication we found of many Dutch people. We were not expecting to be let in early but we were as well. Much appreciated oon a very hot day.The room had everything we needed and was in a nice quiet area yet close to a supermarket, great bakery and lots of cafes and novel stand alone businesses. “Super toll!! Immer wieder!”

“Ein Stern ist selbst zu viel!!! Achtung - Betrug!!! Das Boot was angeboten wird gibt es zwar aber wird ausschließlich bei booking angeboten. Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. Wir hatten einen Tag vorher gelesen das es an dem Standort nicht existiert und am Anreisetag sofort Expedia kontaktiert. Die Kommunikation hat gut geklappt, nur……

“Clean and convenient…”

“Schönes gemütliches Hausboot in einer kleinen Marina. Einrichtung war alles da was man braucht - sogar WLAN und zwei Fernseher. Bett war frisch überzogen und Handtücher lagen ebenfalls bereit. Wasser wurde auch immer wieder aufgefüllt. Am Tag der Anreise habe ich morgens die Nachricht bekommen mit Adresse und einem Schlüsselcode. Völlig unkompliziert. Eigentlich ruhig gelegen - aber gegenüber der Marina geht eine Landstraße vorbei , ab und zu hört man mal ein Auto. Alles in allem eine coole……
