The rooms were clean and comfortable and the desk staff was great. Most of the other staff members did not speak English, so that was a big challenge. The restaurant was nice but food was just ok. The views of the bay were amazing and the tunnel access to the beach was convenient. The beach was small but clean & the staff there was friendly.

This hotel was incredible! Arrange for a room with the sea view. The staff is friendly and Piero will make you a nice cappuccino, sit on the front porch looking out over the sea and listen to the waves. The room was large with a beautiful tiled bathroom. Raise the window shades and sit out on the deck. Just a short walk away is a quiet beach cove called La Bionda where you can swim and lay out in the sun, bring water shoes as the beach is stone not sand. Drive a short distance up to the Porto San Stefano city and shop a while. Make sure to watch the sailboats come in later in the evening, they moor right there in the cove. There’s a large shipyard to see as well. Mario, Liumilla and Axel will serve you a wonderful dinner, just reserve it earlier in the day. Breakfast is expansive and delicious.

What I liked is that there weren’t many people. Beach was calm and clean. What I didn’t like is that there is a lot of road traffic and the beach is right in front of the road.

Gute Ausgangslage für den Monte Argentario

Das Hotel liegt gut, wenn man Ausflüge unternehmen will. Der Strand war - da wir erst Anfang Oktober dort waren - bereits von den Liegen geräumt und es gab auch sonst keinerlei Service. Auch das Restaurant war bereits geschlossen. Wir haben keine Möglichkeit gesehen irgendwohin zu Fuß zu gehen, da die Straße sehr stark befahren ist und auch eng und kurvig ist. Aber für unsere Zwecke war es o.k. Wir hatten das Glück, dass wir ein Zimmer mit Meerblick hatten, denn da gab es auch einen Balkon. Die Zimmer zum Berg haben KEINEN Balkon. Positiv war auf jeden Fall, dass es auf dem Hotelareal genügend private Parkplätze gibt. Die Zimmer sind modern, zweckmäßig und sauber.
Der Strand war Anfang Oktober leider schon verwaist

Perfect location.

The location was perfect with a lovely private terrace overlooking the water. The furniture was quit low to the floor but the bed was surprisingly comfortable. We look forward to another stay here. The private beach was amazing.

Bella struttura, vista mare incantevole (chiedete le stanze sul mare), comodo accesso protetto alla spiaggia privata, stanze pulitissime. Colazione buona. Sotto l'hotel però "corre" la strada provinciale con un rettilineo che invita a fare i piloti: quindi in stanza sempre doppi vetri chiusi o impazzirete (un paio di autovelox please, signor sindaco). Rumore fastidioso anche sulla (fin troppo) risicata spiaggetta. Esperienza infelice con la ristorazione: è arrivato un trancio di dentice praticamente non cotto e da cui al taglio sprizzava sangue vivo. Se lo avessi mangiato avrei rischiato una tossinfezione alimentare. Fatto presente al personale che si è scusato e ha portato la stessa pietanza cotta a puntino. Ma l'errore resta imperdonabile, e di questo la direzione non si è scusata nè tangibilmente (in sede di conto), nè a parole (che erano gratis). Altra perla della vergognosamente sciatta direzione: scrittole un whatsapp per lamentare in diretta la rumorosità notturna e mattutina dei nostri vicini.... non abbiamo ricevuto neanche una risposta. Ultima perla: saldato il conto di 5 gg di soggiorno, prima di partire abbiamo chiesto un caffè: due e venti, grazie. No comment

Il punto di forza è sicuramente la spiggia privata, non so quanti hotel in italia abbiano una piccola baia sabbiosa e i lettini a 3 metri dalla riva. L' hotel in se è molto classico, buona colazione in terrazza, peccato che la strada sotto sia cosi' trafficata, ma è l unica della penisola. Abbiamo pranzato solo una volta al ristorante, non ci è sembrato gran che, personale molto disponibile
