"I like staying here a few times a year. The staff are fantastic, they are great about storing luggage, there is a pool, it is near a number of places to eat, I always sleep well here. Great beds, big lovely bath tubs, and good tea options. I will always return here. "

"The room was clean and comfortable and staff were great. I believe it is important that guests know that the shower and toilet is separated from the bed with frosted glass. This is not always a comfortable situation to be in as one is too exposed "

"Definately NOT a 5 star hotel. Rooms in massive need of updating, and the spa also. The Spa when we went was very messy, paper cups and peoples slippers/robes on floor scattered about. Looks like in need to some TLC. Visited Bath many a time and far nicer places to stay in my opinion, especially for the price. Building is beautiful, breakfast was as expected, check in fine, staff lovely, location ok 10 min walk into centre - just desperately needs some updating. "

"DISAPPOINTED. We have stayed at The Bristol Hotel numerous times and loved it. This time however was horrendous. There was a wedding downstairs which is fine, but the whole room was vibrating. mentioned this to room service which stated it doesn't go on for long, it did. The windows were like paper, we could hear everything on the street below so clearly that i thought the windows were open. i did mention this to front desk in the morning, the reply was slightly annoying considering how nice the chap was. It cant have been the wedding making the music noise and vibration. It most defiantly was. I understand that Bristol on a weekend is lively which i am not apposed to, but the windows being that bad really shouldn't be the case. Also, to be told that i was wrong felt a little rude. On that note the room service was incredible and the food that they delivered was amazing. The bad experience will make us think twice unfortunately about booking again, which is a shame as its a great hotel and we really like it. But room 223 is letting it down. "
